This property was far below the standards indicated. Staff were rude and rooms often not restocked. The food was sub par often feeling sick after eating.

Even though we arrived well after the check in time our room was not ready. The front desk staff were often rude when asked questions. We waited an hour in the lobby constantly being bombarded with persons placed there trying to convince us to “upgrade” to their premium package. All of our party spent at least one full day in the room Ill from the food at the buffet. The rooms all had a large amount of mold in the washrooms, one of the rooms we paid for had a leak in the roof and the front desk staff instructed us to have someone stay in the room to supervise maintenance fix it. The replenishment of the rooms was inconsistent often items such as coffee and water were not replaced in the rooms. At one point they allowed some of the table vendors in the resort, making it impossible to go to the buffet without being harassed to purchase. Overall I found a resort with minimal relaxation, where I would have been further to stay at either a hotel or air bnb.

The pools the beach is beautiful environment. The pool is great for little kids the way its designed. We did have an issues with the check in staff as soon as we arrived. As we had an earlier flight and got there at 12. So by 3 o'clock my husband approached the counter to get the room #. They where yelling at him to go at the back of the line .We did wait in line when we first got there . So we assumed its was common courtesy to just give us the room # as we had been waiting since 12. That was uncomfortable and uncalled for. But my God the mosquitoes are horribly. Everything in the room had dead mosquitoes. Everyone was bitten everywhere. It didn't matter where u went they were everywhere. I have been to other hotels in this area i have never encountered such a horrible amount of mosquitoes everywhere. Lobby, restaurant, pool, the hotel room it was a never ending battle with mosquitoes.

While the property is nicely kept, it is very dated. The room did not have any hotel info in it, nor did it have anything to write on or with. Had asked for more pillows 4 different times and they were never brought. The ceiling was leaking from the heavy rain. Check in process was difficult, they did not have any rooms available with 2 beds, which I had specifically asked for when booking. They had to bring a roll away bed which immediately broke when laid on and couldn't get another one until the next night. I kept checking back for another room, there were none available. I thought the staff was mostly rude. None of the bartenders did anything to earn a tip. Bar service at the pool or beach was pretty much non existent. Food at the buffet was the same thing every night and not hot at all. The beach was beautiful and kept clean.

I loved the variety of entertainment each night, you could choose whether you wanted to watch a show or listen to live music or even better, go to a second show after the first show! So many options for entertainment. staff was very friendly and facilities were always clean. Beach was absolutely stunning, I would definitely recommend to friends and family.The only thing I didn’t love was how we got no information about anything when we arrived, we had to come back to guest services to inquire about everything (how do we reserve dinners, where do we get towels, where is the gym, what are the times, where do we get towel cards.. etc and that when we booked transportation to pick us up with our luggage’s for check out, they never showed up so we just walked and were a few minutes late because of that

We stayed at Bahia Principe Punta Cana originally for 5 nights. We arrived at the airport a little earlier than our check in time, however it seemed like reception had difficulty assigning our rooms. Overall it took very long and we were tired going through the process. It was worse once we got to our rooms as both rooms were infested with bugs, bed bugs and mosquitoes. We tried to turn on the ac and use bug spray throughout the first day as we were tired and just wanted to rest. The washrooms were also disgusting and the room decor was severely in need of an upgrade. By, 11 pm we had enough of the bugs as we had a child with us as well and we asked for new rooms. At first the 2 receptionists denied us and said made us wait for a manager for a simple room change. We were upset but they did not care as their shift was over in 5 minutes. As soon as the shift change happened we had to explain and wait another 1 hour before we finally were offered to transfer to the Bahia bavaro for the remainder of the trip. These rooms were slightly better in terms of decor and there were no bugs. The whole process took too long and it was almost 2 am. In the new room however, there was no cold water, and the water was only boiling hot with very little water pressure and a dirty tub. The tap for the sink was not even attached and we had to call for a handyman three times in the morning to come fix it and wait for an hour for that to be done. Then we found that toilets did not flush well.

El problema es que tienen una plaga de mosquitos. Deben controlarlo porque no se puede disfrutar de las amenidades. Mi esposa y yo llevamos repelente pues sabemos como es el trópico, aún así llegamos a nuestro hogar llenos de picadas al igual que el grupo de dieciocho con los que estábamos. Espero que establezcan un protocolo para atender esto que es tan importante para evitar la propagación de enfermedades.

Estoy muy contenta, fue mi primera vez visitando este lugar, está Espectacular de lo único que me quejo es la cantidad de MOSQUITOS que habían en la habitación y en las áreas comunes. Deberian hacer algo al respecto fui con un grupo de amistades algunos se quedaron en otras de las facilidades y no tuvieron ese problema asi que deberían hacer algo con eso.

I arrived at the front desk to begin with my check-in, they sent me to the Bávaro hotel, even though my reservation was for Bahia Principe Gran Punta Cana. (Later I realize that they are like Siamese twins). Ericka suggested to upgrade the rooms, because she said the hotel is old and only a few rooms were renovated. I agreed and paid the upgrade. They were nice but, one had the front door frame out of place so, it was very difficult every time we had to close the door, you had to pull it hard, I imagine the guests next to us must have woken up with the noise. My room had mold on the ceiling of the shower, the ac did not cool, to the point of not having to cover myself all night and one of the decorations on the wall was covered in mold. At the buffet, I was waiting for a spaghetti when I saw a cockroach walking up and down the counter where the cooker was, and he didn't even flinch. I imagine that the hotel would be quite full, and they decided to open a room attached to the buffet where no one wanted to sit because of the strong musty smell. In general, you could notice a bit of disorganization, there were many waiters walking around from one place to another,but no one attended to you.In the Japanese restaurant a cockroach fell on a guest, then ran under to my table and continue running all over the room and ended up being chased by one of the chefs.I talk with the general director,he was very receptive and told me they are trying to resolve the cockroach’s issues and other

The property itself was nice but the agent staff were very rude! Very sarcastic rolling eyes extra. The cleaning staff were very nice. The prices for gifts and snacks were very extremely expensive. We did not know were things were and how things work as it was never explained to us. My partner fell sick on the trip (food poisoning at resort ?) and ended up in the hospital the medi centre Angie were rip offs as they told us he should go to the hospital and charged us $250 USD just to tell us that. The private hospital they sent us to was rude and felt like a jail and kept him in the hospital longer than needed as our insurance company said everything was done at 11am but he wasn’t real eased until 3:30pm. We spoke to other people who went through the same thing. The fridge didn’t work and I paid for premium internet and barely had any internet. The pool was closed at 6pm every night. They day after we got there we were told to meet at the front desk for 930 am to discuss our return transfer but they were just trying to push the excursions on us. Very very disappointed and would not recommend anyone go there.

Tres grand resort. Nous avons marché beaucoup avec notre bébé en poussette, mais c’était parfait pour nous. Le staff est tellement gentil, souriant, accommodant. Le buffet a beaucoup de choix. Seul point négatif est qu’il faut se lever super tôt (6am) pour réserver une chaise avec parasol a la plage, même chose pour les piscines. Je recommande cet hôtel et tous le resort Bahia Principe.

Room closer to the beach are nice. Units 1-4. We were in unit 17 and it was dark and dingy. Food at this resort was aweful. We paid extra money to upgrade to the Esmeralda next door. WAY better everything! Have fun!

The property is beautiful and the grounds are very well maintained, most of the staff were pleasant and cheerful but some were never smiling and sometimes rude. The food in the buffet was plentiful but any hot food was not hot or even warm unless it was cooked right in front of you like pasta’s or egg omelette’s. The Bahia Grand Punta Cana buffet had a terrible sewer like smell, they should do something about that as it is nasty. This resort needs updating. The little flies that bite are awful and for someone like myself that has allergies to these bites, it was not a pleasant experience. I understand that this is a problem in most of your resorts because of the climate, but it would be nice if people were informed before they come because then we could be prepared better! The beach was amazing and we got lots of swimming time in the beautiful ocean and so much wonderful sunshine :-). We spent from the 29th of February to March 15th 2024. Over all the vacation was good, my suggestion to other people going to the D/R. Do your research before booking a resort. Thank you

The resort was overall a good resort. Check-in was a little annoying - we were told room would be ready at 3 and didn't get in until around 5. We were also here during peak spring break so I am sure they were busy. I gave the facilities a 3/5 because our shower head was broken. I will say you get what you pay for and I was certainly tired of eating the buffet food lol. However, we went to the Nikkei restaurant and it was really good I recommend trying. The view was worth it though and overall a good stay for an affordable price.

This place is a fantastic getaway! The beach is spectacular and the staff were so helpful. There were a couple of miscommunications, but nothing major and things were taken care of without trouble. Note the a la carte restaurants fill up fast. Reserve early!
