Prima strand en zwembad, mooie shows in de avond. Kamers waren schoon en ruim, maar airco werkte half en rook naar rotte eieren, vleermuizen op het balkon. Personeel bij de receptie en schoonmaak waren vriendelijk, maar in het buffetrestaurant en aan de bar totaal niet. Regelmatig 15-20 minuten moeten wachten op bestek en/of water, 2 personen bestellen een glas water, komt er na een kwartier 1 glas, etc.

The room was great! Beautiful views of the ocean and pool area. AC worked outstanding and the ceiling fan was a bonus! The bed was super comfortable. I hated the 1/2 glass shower door situation. I would have much preferred a sliding glass door so the floor doesn't get soaked every time you shower! Room attendants were on the mark! They did a great job having the room cleaned and re-appointed quickly every day. My only complaint was the buffet. The breakfast service was dismal. We went between 9-11 am every day. I'm sure this is the busiest time, but it's vacation! People don't want to eat super early! There were never clean tables. We would sit at a dirty table and end up bussing it ourselves. It was also a 20-30 min wait for coffee! This problem could be alleviated by having a large self-service coffee area. Have the serving/bus staff clean tables and reset with clean utensils rather than rushing around trying to fill up coffee cups. I saw many people frustrated with this issue ~ we saw it every morning. The food was ok. I'm not a huge buffet-eating person but I found plenty of good food to satisfy myself. I recommend the restaurant by the beach for better service and easier seating ~ it's only open for lunch though. The best restaurant was the Steakhouse (Las Reces). Best dinner of the trip!

The resort was clean, and newer rhansome of the others that I've seen. The staff is very courteous and ready to help you. The food is plenty and so are the drinks. The pool was so much fun with its swim up bar. The beach is nice and clean. All in all my family and I had a great vacation and definitely plan on returning.

My mom and I stayed at Occidental Punta Cana for a week. We stayed with my sister, niece, and brother-in-law; it was truly an amazing experience! We have been to other resorts, but this was our first time at Occidental and we now have a place that we can always visit. All the staff members were sweet and were ready to help with anything we needed. Some waitresses were Marilandy, and Melida. They were both super attentive and nice to my family and I for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our housekeeper Minerva was very kind and brought us what we needed when asked. She also did a great job at keeping everything very clean. If you are looking for somewhere calm and where you can relax; this is the place to be :)

The service was honestly really bad. The people who work here seem miserable to be here. The cleaning of our rooms was very hit or miss. Sometimes it would be done by 12 and other days done by 3pm. We would tip our cleaning lady daily but she would forget towels, etc. we paid extra for a room with a jacuzzi tub that we couldn’t even use as it was so incredibly dirty.

The staff at this Occidental have no clue that they’re in the hospitality industry. Hands down the WORST service I’ve ever had at an “all inclusive”. From the lies, the “butler” that was completely useless, to the Guest Service that was non existent; I would steer clear of this resort. There are way better options in the Dominican.

The restaurants are not specially good. If you don’t get get and upgrade, you are not treat equally. The alcohol Menu selection is really poor in quality. Also they need to add more bartenders or another bar to the beach side.

The entire resort was amazing so many dining options and the buffet was spectacular on the daily ! They are working diligently to continually make improvements there are staff walking around taking notes and asking questions on how to better accommodate or assist patrons and the nightly entertainment was awesome !! We enjoyed our 11 night stay as a party of 9, with 4 adults and 5 kids (12-17). The grounds are beautiful and the beach is clean! Our rooms were cold, clean and well laid out. We loved how there are multiple pool options, and food options. Our concierge, José Ignacio Franco, was awesome!! We celebrated a birthday while there and he had our room decorated, a custom cake made and a bottle of champagne ready for our celebration! The bartenders were fun and made the pool area a blast! Yessie de la Rosa was so fun and made our drinks perfectly! I would go back just to see her!! The food was the most disappointing part of our stay along with the quality of the alcohol. Some of the servers were unfriendly and a few times rude. Overall I would give it 4 stars!!
