'This cabin is great. From check in to check out everything was as stated and cabin was great. I would definitely stay here a again. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. And dog friendly was the icing on the cake.'

'This place is a gem. Great location as you can’t see any neighbors, on the river, but close enough to the grocery store. Also, only a few minutes for Sandstone Falls and Bluestone State Park! The river access is awesome, the house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with essentials. We will definitely be back!'

'The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park....

'So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer.'

'Overall an excellent stay, very clean, decently supplied. Excellent location in the middle of a bunch of the north hiking areas. Close to grocery and gas. We were happy to have a close outdoor plug so we could charge our PHEV. Would definitely stay here again if we get back to this area.'

'It was exactly as advertised, the best cabin !! , the whole family was very happy about it all . Plus being in the woods and only minutes from town to restaurants. 'The cabin was in a beautiful location and was beautiful. Super clean. Very impressed with the items provided including bed linens, generous supply of towels/washcloths, kitchen items. 'Very cute, comfortable, and well put together cottage. Supplied with everything needed and some appreciated extras . Perfect location for all our hiking adventures from the south end to the north end of the park. Just 15 minutes from Bridge. Highly recommend the Bridge Walk!
