Hillsdale Graduation
We stayed in the house for our son and his fiancé’s graduation from Hillsdale with our family and her family. There was plenty of room and the house was well equipped! Beautiful property with plenty of room to spread out!

Hillsdale College Graduation - 14 adults
Based on the description our expectations were met and we were happy to have plenty of beds and bathrooms for 14 adults for graduation at Hillsdale College which is about a 20 minute drive away. Our expectations were exceeded by the host for communications and caring about our stay. Please note that although the listing states ir sleeps a lot of people, you have to pay extra for those people. Well worth it! Plenty of parking, all big beds, linens, towels, full kitchen stocked with all you need to cook meals as well as coffee etc. The grounds are sweet and peaceful and quiet. The house is clean and olderbt tasteful with all modern conveniences including wifi that reaches all over. The attached garage has a BBQ and extra tables for outside gather which we used unexpectedly and enjoyed the lovely spring weather and blossoms everywhere! The price is steeper than we wanted, but because we wanted everyone in one place for the graduation, it actually was much nicer and cheaper than other stays. Also the house is so big there are several sitting areas, libraries, piano, organ, just many spaces to be. Note: the road is dirt gravel last 1/2 mins to get there that posed us no issues but may bother some persons. Not us!

Another wonderful stay!
We had a quick, busy visit to Hillsdale for graduation weekend and was able to call this property "home" again. Everything was perfect as usual! Nick & Marisa are amazing hosts and always available if we needed them. Hillsdale College parents, this is a great choice to accommodate extended family during weekend events!!

Great Family Get Away House
This house worked out perfect. We ended up with 11 adults, 6 children and 2 dogs spending the weekend together. There are features of this house that worked for all of us. The house has all the space we needed to spread out and enjoy our time while still being together. We started a fire in the kitchen/dining room fireplace, the kids raided the toys and play space in the basement, and the dogs LOVED all the area to run. This place is fully stocked, plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, beds and TP for all our needs. The host were friendly, quick to respond and they had the house already filled with all those extra thoughtful touches. If you need a large space for people to come together, then I highly recommend this house. All you need to bring is your clothing and food, everything else is supplied by this host.

Wonderful Experience
We had a fantastic weekend stay at this beautiful property. The Hermitage Hills Estate is wonderful inside and out. Our campus group had plenty of space to "get away" for a weekend retreat and we loved it. Communication was fantastic and we never had to worry about anything. The kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable and plenty of reading material made for a great experience. We will do it again!!!

Another relaxing stay
This is our second time staying and it was as enjoyable as the first time. We were able to host dinner for our daughter and her friends comfortably. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest the house was perfectly warm and cozy. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting.
Looking out of the large windows on the snow covered trees was stunning. The sledding hill was enjoyed by the kids. The house had everything that our group needed. Very comfortable and relaxing experience.

Family Winterlude
My husband and I hosted our daughters and their families for four days between Christmas and New Years Eve at this comfortable and spacious property, and we had a fabulous time. There's ample space to spread out--indoors and out. And a kitchen that was up to the task of keeping us all fed.

Great Vacay Experience
Our extended family of 14 recently stayed in this rental for our annual summer vacation. We were so pleasantly surprised!! The homeowner, Nick, was so friendly, easy to work with and eager to make our stay the best possible. We loved everything about this property! Our little kids LOVED the playset and room to roam! Our teenage boys LOVED the ponds, boats, great fishing, and big basement which they quickly turned into a man cave! Our men LOVED the ample space to set up and play corn hole! Our ladies LOVED the fully equipped kitchen and the huge bathrooms! As a family, we loved the spaciousness of the house/property, the piano and organ which lead to many family "concerts", and the big tables which created many great memories of everyone sitting around playing games. This property is gorgeous, so clean, secluded and peaceful with us seeing numerous deer each day. If clean, spacious, peaceful and a beautiful location is on your requirement list, we would highly recommend this for you next family vacation ❤

Beautiful secluded getaway!!
We stayed here with our 7 children. More beautiful than pics can show. Wonderful host, who helped with all questions. Beautiful property to hike, fish, and explore!! The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. We would love to come back again. Great yard space and playground for kids. Absolutely serene property. Even though we were secluded food and groceries were only 10 mins away. Fully stocked kitchen. Thanks nick for sharing your property with us and being so available!!

Amazing Home
When I first stumbled upon this beautiful home , it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Nick is the most thoughtful and gracious host. He provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The home is perfect and I would definitely return!

Excellent wedding elopement
My wife Samantha and I threw a Covid friendly wedding elopement and spent the weekend at bonfires, exploring the property, and hanging out. Nick was an excellent host. Couples Getaway for Birthday Celebration
We stayed here for my hubbs birthday weekend along with 3 other couples and had a BLAST!!! Nick was excellent....the place was spacious and very clean! Only thing I didn’t like was that we had to leave! But we will definitely be back soon. I mistakenly left my meds and Nick sent to me with no hesitation which is greatly appreciated!!! Beautiful property, perfect for secluded downtime
We had a lovely time — gorgeous property, perfect for walking in the woods, and Nick was so responsive and thoughtful. Our girls could not believe they had a small lake all to themselves to swim! The house and grounds are incredibly spacious and has everything a family could need.

Outstanding getaway!
If you are looking for a beautiful place to socially distance yourself, this is the spot! The house itself was beautiful and had everything you would ever need on a vacation. My boys loved the pool and air hockey table and I loved reading and looking at 100’s of books. The master bathroom has a giant Jacuzzi and double shower. Even the bathroom was stocked with tons of supplies. The grounds of the house are absolutely beautiful. The hiking trails are well maintained and were great for some short hikes with the dog. We loved hearing the bullfrogs each evening. The lakes were so relaxing with the pine trees all around. We spent our days kayaking and swimming and our nights at the fire pit. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Beautiful property, wonderful hosts!
We had a group of 10 adults (5 couples). Everyone had a great time and the home was beautiful. Part of our group enjoyed a nice walk to the ponds during the day. I loved sitting by the fire and having a fire throughout the night in the master bedroom. Nick was quick to respond during our stay and prior! He gave us a wonderful tour of the home as well. Absolutely love all the le Creuset items in the kitchen! My only complaints... I'm particular: master shower needs a little attention. The well water has stained it pretty bad and the top needed a good scrubbing. We have well water too so we understand the struggle. Definitely fixable. Secondly, the grand staircase is pretty scary. The steps are pretty slippery and the railing is fairly wobbly. I wouldn't want to rely on the existing railing during a fall. Like I said, I'm particular. Overall, the house is fantastic as well as the owners.

Perfect!
This entire property is an absolute dream from the house to the grounds themselves. We used this house as base camp for our wedding and this was perfect. Out entire bridal party loved it and it was so nice to have a big space to hang out in before and after the wedding. Nick was fantastic and very welcoming when we first arrived. I can't recommend this place enough especially if you have a big group getting together.

Great for family reunions
Our annual family reunion was a great success due to the property we found on VRBO. The Heritage Hills Estate is fantastic, and everything that the listing say that it is. I could go on and on about our stay, but I'll hit a few highlights. It starts with the owner, Nick, who met us at the property and explained how everything works. He communicated with us every day to make sure we were happy. We work up one morning and did not have hot water. Imagine (20) people not to be able to shower. We phoned Nick and he told care of it immediately. The estate is practically sound proof. I spoke with everyone in our group and everyone said it was a beautiful place to stay. The fish were not biting the whole time we were there, but i couldn't blame Nick for that. Highly recommend for a big group meeting

Home Away From Home
Our family had an amazing family reunion at the Hermitage recently. We all had a great time and felt very welcome at this beautiful estate. The owner (Nick) was waiting to welcome us upon our arrival, and he made sure to give us a detailed tour of the property, by the time our 1st evening was over, the Hermitage felt like home. Every member of our party had a great time, from the oldest member who is 84 years to the youngest who is 8 years old. There was ample space for sleep and for recreation. The view throughout the estate was serene, and we had lots of fun playing on the grounds. We also had lots of other activities to do indoors. The air hockey table was especially popular with the children. All the ladies in our party were delighted to spend time in the lovely kitchen and we had a great time cooking with all the beautiful cookware. Our family bonded through the various activities and we spent time together in the great room listening to stories about our family heritage from the older members of our family. This event allowed us to rekindle old bonds and foster new ones, and we could not have been more pleased. Nick's love for this beautiful estate is so evident in the way he cares for it. Every room in the house felt loved and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We already know our family will return to this place in the near future.

Family Reunion a success at the Hermitage Hills
The Estate is a large very spacious home. We had 22 people sleeping overnight and it was more than accommodating. The kitchen had everything you needed, WiFi available, the garage was handy for coolers and an onsite ice machine was very helpful. The fireplace was nice and close. We did find the pond areas were more of a fishing 🎣 area than a swimming but all in all it was fun. The home was great although there were some small defects of the place it wasn’t abnormal with a home of that size.

Beautiful home for a family gathering
Our extended family spent two days here after Christmas. The house is beautiful and spacious. Our 14 adults and 3 kids fit comfortably with some on air mattresses. We wished we could have stayed an extra day or two, and we'd love to come back in the summer or fall. Nick and Marisa were very responsive to our questions and needs. We were here on some of the coldest days of the year, so we kept the fireplaces busy. We cooked a couple big meals in the large kitchen. The wifi was great for those of us who needed to stay connected.

Lovely Home; Private setting, Wonderful time
This lovely home was the perfect setting for our family to have some together time Big rooms so we could play and dine all together, and plenty of area that we could spread out if anyone wanted some quiet alone time. We all loved the rural setting. Weather wasn't very cooperative for the short trip we had, but the ponds and ample green space on the property would be great for spending time outdoors. Owners were very welcoming. We had a great time here.

We enjoyed our stay and will return . Beautiful home and grounds. Our dog loved it even more than we did. He ran through the walnut grove every day chasing falling walnuts. The fresh eggs and welcome basket were a nice touch.
