We booked the executive suite for our stay but noticed that the bathroom was still dirty when we checked in. Our housekeeper moved our shoes to a cabinet but no one including future housekeepers could find them. Upon check out we asked them to do a room check twice and both times were told our shoes were missing until we insisted on checking ourselves and found a hidden cabinet door and looked. Overall the service could be way better for the price we paid and the hotel looks very outdated which is why we will not be staying here again.

I had a terrible experience here. The staff was friendly until they weren’t. The first day or two was great. The room was clean despite being a bit outdated and the pool area was very nice. I enjoyed being close to the beach and near major sites. One evening, the tv fell off of the wall and onto the floor ON ITS OWN. When alerting the staff, they sent up a very rude manager that accused us of throwing it to the floor. My partner and I travel frequently and have NEVER experienced such rudeness and disrespect. The manager asked how it happened and I in turn was asking him how this could’ve happened since I didn’t mount the tv myself and didn’t even touch the tv once. All tv programs were in Portuguese, which I don’t speak. I had no reason to use or touch the tv. He then left and came back up with a cc machine demanding payment for the tv and refused to discuss the matter further until we had no choice but to pay $350. I was absolutely floored at the interaction and was VERY disappointed. I would NOT recommend and would NOT return to any hotel with the Windsor logo.

As I personally showed, the TV support was intact, with no possibility of it having come loose.It is worth remembering that immediately after my explanation, Mr. Juan Fonseca said he would pay for the damage, so I had to go downstairs to get the credit card machine and charge it.It is also important to highlight that our TVs have channels in other languages, such as CNN INTERNACIONAL and SPANISH, TV5 MONDE, RTP.Certain of your understanding, we thank you for your preference and are available to answer any further questions.

The follow was sandy when we got there. The refrigerator was not working and we informed staff. They did nothing. We travel with insulin and most of it was ruined. I asked for it to be fixed and they literally did nothing. I asked for a price adjustment and was denied. Would never stay there again.

Very nice stay. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Hotel was clean and issues in room were adressed promptly. Room service speed was excellent. The room was nice. Nothing spectacular, but comfortable! I had an ocean view which couldn't have been more perfect! Breakfast buffet was excellent and the roof top pool was amazing with great service. Close to beach. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at the Windsor Excelsor and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The hotel’s location in Copacabana is undoubtedly great, but the service left much to be desired. Upon checking in, I encountered a frustrating situation as a staff member started attending to me but abruptly moved on to someone else, leaving me waiting for an extended period to complete the check-in process. This initial interaction set a disappointing tone for my stay. To make matters worse, the night staff exhibited a dismissive attitude towards me, making me feel unwelcome. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism from the staff members, particularly during the night shift, was a significant drawback to my overall experience. Regrettably, based on the subpar service I received during my stay, I cannot see myself choosing to spend my money at this establishment again. I hope that the management addresses these issues to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.

I like the staff and the location. Great offer for the price. On the dark side, you have to pay USD$9 for a bucket of ice. I have never seen that anywhere. The majority of decent hotel have ice machines on various floors if not all floors. So price that into your room. Otherwise, good dependable hotel.

Incrível! Localização excelente, quarto espaçoso, vista lindíssima da cobertura, atendimento muito bom! Único ponto negativo: não ter estacionamento disponível e nem manobrista para levar até o estacionamento mais próximo (que não é tão próximo assim). Para quem vai de táxi, o hotel é perfeito! Pretendo voltar em breve!

The room was nice and comfortable. Outlook was a bit bleak. Rooftop bar and pool was very nice. Staff were courteous, especially at check in. Breakfast was very, very good and a great selection of food.

A Good, Older Hotel
The property is not the most updated or nicest hotel in Copacabana by any means, but it provides excellent service and value. The staff at check-in noticed my fiancé coughing and immediately had water brought. That was an impactful first impression, and it was greatly appreciated. The room itself was very well cleaned, and the linens were fresh and spotless. The “courtyard view” was not that nice through the tiny window, but we only stayed one night and didn’t really care about that. Breakfast was excellent with views to the beach from the dining area. We had them stow our bags, so we could go to the zoo; the bellhops were very attentive. This hotel could use a refresh in some areas, but it is exceptionally well managed. We would recommend a stay here.
