Staff was so nice and welcoming! Gave us an upgrade for our anniversary. Facility was very clean. Breakfast was great! Furniture was a little scuffed. Homeless encampment right across the street was a little sketchy. But otherwise this is a great place to stay.

We found an additional charge of $50 up charge on registration. Supposedly it will be refunded in 2-3 days. Expedia never mentioned this charge. There was no receipt for the $50. Stay away from properties that insert this kind of charge after you have committed.

This is a new property in a great location for CSUS. Even though it’s sandwiched between the freeway & light rail, it wasn’t noticeable while sleeping. They even pack up to go snack sacks if you’re unable to sit & enjoy their delicious free breakfast. Will definitely be booking again.

Convenient location near the freeway. Entrance to the facility is fine. However, if you wish to return to the freeway, the exit is more complicated especially if there is traffic.

Newer property and our room was spacious. It had loads of plug ins for our devices. The beds were very comfortable. The room and hotel appeared to be very clean. Front desk staff was terrific. The sliding door for the bathroom was large, heavy and the inside handle was off its fixture so not easy to slide open once closed. Easy access to Hwy 50, but not really an easy walk to CSUS for some. It’s about 2 miles. We had a “view” room, but the view was the back of Grocery Outlet and a BART station, not pretty. BART made sleep pretty challenging. Complimentary breakfast offered lots of choices.

The staff was so welcoming! After just coming from a disgustingly dirty hotel to this one, we were very pleased! The room did not have a microwave, but we called the front desk and they brought one right up! Would definitely stay here again!

Looking out of window was a view of unfortunate homeless encampment. Did not feel safe walking around at night. The actual hotel itself was excellent. Large and clean rooms however I was not a fan of the barn style rolling doors for the bathroom....did not give enough privacy! ! The gentleman who ran the morning breakfast was a joy to see each morning....friendly and accommodating. One thing that I was not aware of when we booked our room was that a large number of college athletes would be staying there. Each morning and evening it was difficult to find any seating in the lobby to have breakfast or just to lounge. Would I stay here again???.....well the actual facility is excellent along with the morning breakfast, but the location and the large number of student athletes at the Hampton and the adjacent Home 2 made it difficult. I would probably not stay at this Hampton.

I would definitely stay here again. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was good. Details with security were excellent. There is a homeless camp across the street but there were no issues and the hotel parking lot has security measures. The hotel is updated and clean inside.

This property was not safe. Another patron was issued a key to my room. Very scary when they show up to your room with a key number to your room. The air conditioner was not working. We had to move to another room. Definitely would not stay there again.

The hotel was very nice and clean and we had a comfortable stay. The only negative thing I can say is that the restroom doors are horrible. They have sliding barnyard doors that give no privacy.

We had a great time staying there! The surroundings are not exactly super clean but we didn’t care about that much. The room was super spacious and super clean. The breakfast food was great, the staff is super polite and friendly. If I had to pick one thing to complain about - it would be the bathroom sliding door which was hard to move for my kid and it doesn’t close all the way. But that wasn’t something to ruin our stay - everything else was absolutely perfect. Will definitely come back next time I need to be at Cal Expo.

It was a short stay we were looking for hotel close to the Sutter General Hospital. It was close and not difficult to get from hotel to hospital. Front desk friendly and the breakfast was great, the gentleman working the breakfast was very kind.
