Comfortable house @ top location
2nd time we stayed here. The house has been really nice renovated in this time. The location is great. Walking distance from the centre and ideal basis to discover the beautiful Baie the Somme.

Maison jolie et chouette pourvue de tout ce qu'il faut, cadre magnifique. Plein de possibilités pour se promener, visiter des villages et des villes (Le Crotoy, Montreuil), aller au restaurant (Crêperie les Remparts, La Pêcherie), etc.etc.

Een gezellige, sfeervolle en goed onderhouden vakantiewoning met een mooie keuken, fijne douche en prima bedden. Wel moet vermeld worden dat het toilet op de eerste verdieping is en daardoor de woning voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn, niet zo geschikt is.

Aankomstdatum - 29 mei 2021 Fine house with a lot of space outdoors Perfect bathroom, good furniture but the kitchen is a little out dated, the bottle support of the fridge is broken, and the garden chairs are worn out. A few remarks only which can be easily solved. We have had a lovely stay! Date of arrival: May 29th. 2021

The convenient house house is beautiful located. Walking distance from the towns centre. Alltough located on the main road, no traffic noise at all. Bed was good. Nice modern bath room. Kitchen could do with an update. Can recomment this house to everyone who want to visit the Picardie.

Dat was het! Groot nadeel: wc boven, niet aan te bevelen voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. De inrichting is erg gedateerd, bedden prima, hoes versleten. Ligging prima, vooral parkeren op het erf. Erg fijn en heerlijke tuin waar het goed toeven is. En prachtige omgeving. Prachtige fietstochten gemaakt.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in een comfortabel huis met grote tuin. De stoomtrein die 4 keer per dag achter de tuin doorrijdt vonden we heel gezellig, het voegde echt iets toe aan de accomodatie! St Valery sur Somme is een heel gezellig toeristisch plaatsje waar een hoop te doen is.

Staat een gerenoveerd huisje in de plaatselijke stijl van smal-hoog met een mooie tuin, super. Van hier uit kun je prachtig wandelen, treinen en er is veel te bekijken. Dit schone adres is aan te bevelen als vertrekpunt voor diverse bezigheden.

Lovely stay
Very good stay in St Valery. The cottage was well situated, just a short walk along the river to everything. The peace was only broken by the train at the end of the garden and a seal having his breakfast outside one morning! The stairs are steep and a touch slippy - my teenage daughter fell once, but this had been flagged up by other reviewers, and no one else had a problem. Something to be aware of, if you have mobility issues. It is a charming house - clearly a lot of thought has gone into it, and there are nice touches everywhere. The garden was a sunny bonus, my children enjoyed it and we managed to have lunch out there using the supplied furniture. We had a brilliant break.

A fabulous holiday home
We had a lovely week long stay here, the house is clean and the location perfect. A wonderful house to enjoy this part of France easy access to the motorway network and a great base to access the cycle network too. Shops are all within walking distance too.

Très bel endroit
Une belle maison de pêcheurs, entièrement rénovée, idéalement située à deux pas du centre de la ville, avec une vue sur le fleuve d'une part, sur la nature d'autre part. Avec deux enfants, ce fut un très beau séjour dans cette belle petite ville portuaire à taille humaine dans une région qui mérite toujours d'être redécouverte.

Magnifique petite maison idéalement située
C'est la deuxième année que nous venons dans cette maison. On ne peut rêver meilleur emplacement, à l'entrée de la ville, face au port de plaisance, avec un grand jardin et une terrasse en bois magnifiquement aménagés depuis quelques mois. Deux atouts de première importance à St-Valéry : - Un emplacement pour la voiture, - Une cabine de plage où ranger nos vélos en toute sécurité (+ barbecue et accessoires, et même un VTT à disposition, mais nous avions amené les nôtres) Bref, un séjour des plus agréables dans une maison de caractère à deux pas du centre ville et des pistes cyclables.

De la réservation à l accueil toutes les personnes ont été réceptives à nos messages. A maximum 15 minutes de marche vous trouverez la rue commerçante...cette petite maison dispose d un jardin avec une terrasse en bois...un abri fermé pour vos vélos ou matériel à entreposer...et surtout un parking privatif car à Saint Valery c est 1 euro pour 15 minutes de parking la journée...

Très agréable location
Séjour très plaisant dans cette agréable maison, très confortable et idéalement située pour découvrir Saint Valéry et la Baie de Somme. Les photos et la description sont tout à fait représentatives de ce que vous trouverez en prenant possession des lieux, à l'exception du jardin qui a fait l'objet d'un réaménagement (plus de cabanon) mais qui est très agréable. La remise de clé et le départ se font de façon très fluide et efficace. Seul point d'attention : si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité ou des enfants en bas age (ce qui n'était pas notre cas), les escaliers pour accéder aux étages sont un peu raides ! En résumé : une très belle semaine et une location que je recommanderais sans problème.

Cher Loïc, nous vous remercions pour vos commentaires. Le jardin a en effet l'objet d'un réaménagement. Le cabanon a été abattu et il est maintenant remplacé par une cabine de plage de Cayeux dans le fond du jardin. La terrasse est également toute neuve avec de nombreuses plantations. Nous allons remplacer les photos pour mettre à jour le descriptif de notre maison. Pour l'escalier, nous veillerons à mieux le mettre en évidence dans le descriptif de la maison. The cottage is lovely and having a parking space really helped. We were able to walk into the town centre easily. We do think that the property details should stress how steep the stairs are because for some visitors they would be impossible to use.

Nous reviendrons !
Jolie maison, récemment rénovée avec beaucoup de soin et d'harmonie et dans laquelle nous avons eu plaisir à nous installer au salon confortable pour un moment de lecture ou de détente. Ce séjour a bénéficié d'une autre perspective sur la ville et la baie que celle dont nous avions l'habitude, louant généralement un gîte aux abords de la cité médiévale. Mais la ville, ses commerces, la baie et l'estacade restent à portée de promenade quotidienne et l'environnement vaut également le coup : écluse, port de plaisance, Cannoterie à l'ambiance très sympa (merci pour le conseil !). La disponibilité d'un vélo est un plus pour les croissants et la baguette du matin... et la place de parking, un vrai soulagement ! Deux petits bémols : Malgré le beau temps, nous n'avons que peu utilisé le jardin qui mériterait un peu plus d'attention (taillage des plantes de la pergola, un seul transat fragile et usé). L'accès à la machine à laver n'est pas top : la cave est assez humide (malgré la ventilation active de la maison) et le tube d'éclairage ne fonctionnait pas. L'accueil et les formalités de départ sont impeccables ! Nous y avons oublié un bâton de marche en bois à la valeur toute sentimentale. S'il s'avérait qu'il soit retrouvé, n'hésitez pas à nous recontacter. Carole, Marianne, Marleen

Une maison idéale
Une très jolie maison de caractère, très bien aménagée (cuisine neuve, doubles vitrages) et bien entretenue. Les Plus de cette location : - La situation, à l'entrée de la ville, au niveau du Port de plaisance, avec un accès direct aux différentes pistes cyclables. - L'emplacement privé pour une voiture, un réel avantage à St-Valéry, où le stationnement est payant partout 24h/24. - Un grand jardin privatif à l'arrière de la maison, - Et encore un plus pour nous : un local pour ranger nos vélos en toute sécurité. Nous avons tellement apprécié que nous avons déjà réservé un séjour pour l'année prochaine.

Brilliant communication throughout. Very clean and beautiful property. Excellent location: just awat from main hustle bustle but just 5 min walk to town. 11min walk to supermarket inc a Lidl. We love Saint Valery and the surrounding area so this property was perfect fo our family of four (two adults, children aged 12 and 14). Brilliant entertainment on TV - Netflix etc. A bicycle in the shed. Big garden (with Narrow guage train running across the back - Great for train fans). Off street parking on drive next to house - very secure with gate. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

We returned to this house after a 3 year absence (COVID), to find it was even better then before, as the owners had refurbished the kitchen (having previously refurbished the bathroom). This is a great place to stay - lovely garden , off road parking, great views, easy stroll into the town with its many bars and restaurants. WIFI was good and reliable, TV and DVD player available for any rainy days Overall St Valery is a great place to visit/stay, and this house is perfect for 4 people. One suggestion would be to provide a mirror and somewhere to hang clothes in the upper bedroom, but will definitely return.

Train spotting on the Somme
We spent a pleasant week in this well appointed and comfortable house overlooking the Somme. The house is conveniently situated for walking along the quayside to the centre of St Valery with the added bonus (for us anyway) of having a steam railway puffing past at the end of the garden. There are also many well sign posted cycle routes around the area plus of course travelling on the steam railway to either Le Crotoy or Cayeaux.

Relaxing visit to St Valery-sur-Somme
This was an excellent stay for us. The house was beautiful, a mixture of old charm with modern facilities. It was very clean and well looked after. The garden was a delightful place to relax and with only a 10 minute walk to the town (walking past the boats in the harbour and the steam train station) the location was perfect.
