Perfect rental of you live the beach!
Our stay was amazing. The landlord was kind and wonderful. The property was warm and inviting. It had everything you needed to cook, play at the beach, wash your clothing, etc. This property is walkable to the pier, the beach, dinning, and shopping. It was so lovely we actually changed our trip to spend most of the time in the beach and in town.

Perfect location and getaway
This was our second visit, we enjoyed the first visit so much, that we decided to come back, and glad we did. The host goes above and beyond, is easy to communicate with. This is a very close, convenient location to the beach, and so relaxing. We’ll be back again!

Great location and fulfillment of our needs
We are a retired couple in town for a wedding. Owner was very available and responsive. Perfect for 2 people. Walkable to the SC Pier, beach, and town. Know that there is a hill to walk up from the street and stairs to this upstairs unit. There are washer/dryer and beach toys available. We found this cute place met all our needs for a long weekend. Some noise from neighboring partying but wasn’t a problem. Bed and linens are nice. AC was welcome during this heat wave time. Would return to this place if ever in the area.

Lovely apartment near the beach
This property is well kept, furnished with more than just necessities and steps from the beach path. The owner (who was friendly and helpful) thoughtfully equipped the kitchen with everything needed if you choose to cook. The sheets and towels are excellent quality, and the bed was very comfortable. Even beach chairs, surf boards, and sand toys were provided. The only thing that detracted from the three night stay was extremely loud parties next door every night we were there. I’m aware that the owner has no control over neighbors, it’s just worth noting if you want a quiet vacation.

The rental was in the perfect location. The path to the beach was right down the road! We got to meet the owner when we drove up and he was very helpful in telling us exactly where to park. We drove a large SUV but it was not a problem. The unit was spacious and the area was quiet and cool. We enjoyed our time there!

This place is perfect for 2 for a quick weekend getaway. Highly suggest renting a car, as walking is possible but a journey if wanting to do anything. There is a lot of construction going on around other units which makes it loud, but certainly out of the property managers control. Check in was easy & smooth & we were left alone with access to owner if need be. Very cute apartment & would recommend !

Quiet town, close to beach, friendly owner
This property is super close to the beach, but make sure you understand you are hiking down a steep pitch to get there and then back up again at the end of the day. If you are renting a car, be sure to pick a small car as the parking space is quite tricky to get into, if the bottom unit is rented. The owner was very responsive to my parking issues. The neighborhood is nice. Thank you.

Comfortable accommodation; walk to the beach
My wife and I wanted a clean and comfortable rental within walking distance of the beach for 3 days and this fit the bill. The apartment was nicely furnished with a comfortable king size bed and lounge chair in the bedroom, two couches in the living room and a table that can sit 4 people comfortably in the dining area adjacent to the kitchen. There was a small balcony off the dining area with a small table and two chairs. The kitchen was nicely laid out with a 4 burner gas stove, full refrigerator, microwave, and cookware. There was no dishwasher but we expected that from reading the reviews. It was no problem for us. The unit has Direct TV that offered a wide variety of programming with flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom. There is one air conditioner in the living room but none in the bedroom. Both rooms do have ceiling fans. Since we were there in November there was not a problem with excessive heat in the bedroom. It was nice to have a parking space for our vehicle at the top of the driveway close to the apartment. As mentioned by others the driveway is quite steep and the apartment is on the second floor with about a dozen steps leading up to it. Here again, no problem for us but might be for persons with mobility issues. To get to the beach one only has to walk a short distance to steps leading down to the beach or a ramp connected with the San Clemente bikeway. One can also drive a few blocks to the Linda Lane Parking area for additional beach access. The owner was very easy to work and always available by phone to help to trouble shoot minor issues and to answer questions. All in all, we were very pleased with the apartment and would stay there again if another opportunity should present itself.

Fabulous Place / Location
We had an amazing time at this rental. The pictures are accurate and the location to the beach is great. I will mention that the access to the beach is a steep hill, however, it is way better than the neighboring access to the beach, those access spots are tons and tons of stairs. We enjoyed the use of the provided beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrella over the 10 days that we stayed. A few things, the driveway is steep and if someone is staying in the below apartment it can be tight to get in and out, but do not let that deter you from staying here. There are way more pros to this place than cons. The internet in the unit is spotty and would not be good if someone was working during their stay here. The couch and king bed are super comfortable, the water pressure is great and the shower (two shower heads) is amazing. The kitchen was well equipped. The patio is nice but there is not really a view of the ocean. The location is great - we rented bikes for the week and rode down to Dana Point and back a few times on the boardwalk/bike path. Highly recomend staying here and we cant wait to come back.

Great location
Very clean, great host. The A/C is located in the living room. It gets a little warm in the bedroom but host has provided ceiling fans and additional fans to help push air into bedroom. There is no dishwasher but we only used the kitchen for coffee and drinks so it was a very minor inconvenience. The bed was super comfortable and access to the chairs and other beach items including towels were awesome. Parking is limited and having a smaller SUV was very helpful. We definitely will stay here when in the area again.

We stayed here for 9 days, only reason I cannot give it a 5 was the wi-fi. I was on a working vacation and the wi-fi was a little spotty, not quite enough for clear video calls. The router is not in the same unit, so difficult to reset. Other than that the place was really great, clean comfortable, close to the beach.

Short trip for a memorial service in Dana point
Great experience with Bob, he was speedy to reply to our questions and requests. The driveway up to the condo was super steep so we for sure got a good workout throughout the weekend and would caution anyone with impaired gait or assistive device users:). The neighborhood was adorable and enjoyed the quick walk to mariposa beach (with another steep hill):). Overall great experience (in spite of discovering Im in the worst shape of my life!). Would recommend!

Great place for a much needed getaway!
From the day we got there, Bob was very responsive! The place is clean and comfortable and has all the amenities you could need. Truly liked being able to use the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and ice chest. The place is close to the beach but be warned it is a pretty steep hill (paved) down to the walking trail. Walked down to the pier for breakfast twice. Actually close enough to walk to Ave. Del Mar and El Camino Real (the Main Street) with restaurants and Shops. Drove to the pier one day and parked to go to beach and also drove to North Beach to park and go to the beach. Went to the rainbow sandals outlet store and the outlets of San Clemente. Ate at Mimosa Cafe, Schwack Cantina, Rocco’s and The Fisherman, all were great. Love that this still has a small beach town feel, love it!!! Thank you Bob!

Great little beach apartment
My husband and I had a nice stay at this cute apartment. It is a short walk to the beautiful Mariposa Beach and the Pier. We had a nice breakfast at The Fishermans and happy hour drinks. Loved the walk there and back! And the sunsets from the walkway are splendid!! I loved the little balcony off the dining room to sit and read. We were there on the weekend and the beach was too crowded for me, so I preferred to stay on that balcony (Covid-19 time) and it was wonderful! I liked sitting out there in the evening too! (But I did enjoy the beach during the weekdays!) This is great size place for a couple. My husband loved all TV channels available also!! We used the BBQ and cooked most of our meals and it was all so easy. I would recommend staying here.

San Clemente Beach Getaway
My wife and I were very happy with our stay in Bob's rental. We stayed for about 5-6 nights. The location was GREAT- literally about a 2-3 minute walk down to Mariposa Beach, which is a little quieter than down by the pier, but close enough to walk that way if you want to grab a drink. The apartment is perfect for a couple or small family. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you. The apartment is very roomy and is nicely decorated with modern touches and very comfortable furniture. We rent beach houses in San Clemente every year and this by far, has had the most comfortable bed that we have slept in for a rental. Thank you for that nice touch, Bob. I can't think of anything negative to say about this property except that the internet is very slow in this particular unit. My wife and I did have trouble streaming online content from the apartment, but it would be a simple fix if he added a Wi-Fi extender to the unit to extend the signal from the router that is located in the front unit on the house. Other than that slight hiccup, I would give this property an A+. I highly recommend Bob’s place. I’m planning to visit again and hopefully, we will be able to make Bob’s place our go-to summer rental. Thank you, Bob. Isaac & Pam

Totally Relaxing Beach House
We were looking to rest and relax. This location is close to the beach, pier and shops or you can just relax. It is neat and clean and has everything you need. Although it was warm when we were there, and there is air conditions available, the overhead fans kept it cool enough. My only suggestion is to replace the floor rugs and couches. They are past their prime but comfortable.

Great vacation rental close to the beach!
I highly recommend this place for any small family looking for a beach getaway. They provided everything we needed to have a comfortable place for the week including beach chairs, cooler, and sand toys. The parking spot it a bit tight so be careful when making the uturn into the designated spot. Otherwise this place was just what we needed to enjoy all San Clemente has to offer!

Nothing unique to say that wasn’t already in the reviews we read before booking. It was just as described, reviewed, and expected. I suppose my wife and I were a bit surprised how nice it was, I suppose preparing ourselves for something not as nice. It’s clean, smelled clean, nothing broken or trashy. We would book again.
