'Quiet, spaceous room which was very clean. The pub served delicious food and there is a fabulous little cafe next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting family again. Exceptional value for money with a good breakfast included. Only slight niggle is that the pillows were thin and not supportive. One is not enough and two is too much. Perhaps they could invest in firmer support pillows and the score for this hidden gem would be 10/10.'

'The Seagate was on the estuary in lovely Appledore. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stayed here before and after a trip to Lundy. The first night was in room7 which was spacious and you could just about see the sea. The second night in room 9 which had a completely frosted window and was small. The pub food was good. I particularly liked the ceasar salad . Would return.'

'This was by far the best stay during our 7 day hike along the south west coast path from Minehead to Westward Ho!. I would give it a 5.5 out of 5, if I only could. Caroline was a wonderful host. Everything was well thought through and we felt very welcome.'

'Adorable and quirky little house, oozing with character. Comfy beds, great location for local shops and restaurants, and as a base to explore the area. Only slight negative for us was getting used to town noises as we live in a village. The Combat Collection at Cobatton, and Instow beach (both recommended by the host) are worth a visit, and my boys (16 & 14) loved outdoor laser tag at Survival Combat Games.'

'Dit huisje ligt op een park waar veel huisjes kriskras geplaatst zijn. Ons huisje lag verscholen tussen bossages en we konden het in eerste instantie dan ook niet vinden. De locatie en het klimaat zorgden er misschien voor dat het bij eerste binnenkomst wat muf rook. Maar het was verder helemaal spic&span!
