SpringHill Suites Savannah was conveniently located if your goal is to walk throughout the squares. Our room was clean and spacious. Really liked that the shower/vanity and toilet/small sink were separate. The buffet breakfast was clutch. Much nicer than the usual fare offered in other hotels with free breakfast. Cons were $5 for a bottle of water. Complimentary water only for reward members. The concierge was delightful and knowledgeable, but seemed to be on the payroll of one of the tour operators. The tour was okay, but the buses were so crowded we were unable to board several after waiting for quite awhile. I would try the competitors tour. Parking at hotel $40 a night. A perfectly fine, safe garage right behind the hotel at half the price. One elevator was out of service our first two days. Several guests said it had been out of service for several days.

Close to sights and tours. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the immediate area. Public parking nearby if you don’t want to pay $40 a day for valet. Wish I’d known! Excellent breakfast.

The first room they gave us, the sleeper sofa was disgustingly dirty. We told them. They gave us a new room. New room was fine. But housekeeping only came once in the 6 nights we stayed. I had to call for toilet paper. I had to call anytime we needed clean towels. After calling we waited 2 hours. Nothing. Called again. We were told to come down to the front desk for them. Did that. At 10:30pm knocking at our door, waking kids up, finally housekeeping at the door with towels we asked for hours earlier and had to go get ourselves. Trash was overflowing. When i asked the desk to have the manager call us to discuss this; no one ever called. So the cleanliness was well below where it should be. Very disappointed. Wouldn't stay there ever again or recommend.

We checked on quite late but the front desk just went through the motions with no added info. Said there was no close shopping area. The concierge, Marie, however more than made up for the misinformation. She was delightful energetic and went out of her way to please.

Most of the staff was wonderful, particularly the 1st night front desk staff, breakfast lady and engineer! Very helpful and welcoming. Other than the 2nd evening female at the front desk (cold & not friendly) and outdoor crowd noise the hotel was very well maintained and pleasant.

We traveled here for the bananas game. Upon checkin, we immediately had to request a new room bc our room on the 2nd floor smelled bad and was musty. They moved us to the 4th floor. The room seemed a little better. After unpacking, we noticed how poorly the room had been cleaned. Bathroom areas were gross. Carpet and couch were gross. Bathroom clearly had a mold problem. Baseboards showed mold. Top of wall in bathroom showed mold. Noisy a/c that made ticking noise at night. There is a grilled cheese restaurant on lobby floor and we kept smelling burned cheese and grease in our room. I guess it travels through the vents. The free breakfast was a disappointment. Hot items look inedible. Selections very limited and run out quickly with no restock after requested. My advice is to pay a little more and stay at a nicer place. We’d love to come back to Savannah for another Bananas game. But we definitely won’t be staying here. Definitely gives an ick feeling. Glad to be headed home. Also, $40 per night for parking plus tips is outrageous.

Enjoyed our stay at the SpringHill Suites since it was convenient and close to everything. The staff was exceptional and kind. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The only negative review is that it's time for the hotel to be renovated. Carpets in the hallways are torn, Suite bathroom needs to be renovated and painted, everything looks outdated and worn.

Dirty and rude staff..I checked out a day prior to my checkout because we couldn’t stand staying there not even 2 nights. When we checked out, the staff didn’t even bother to ask why we were leaving early. Sad!!

We loved the stay here. Everyone was nice. It was super convenient to everything. If you’re a light sleeper this is not the place for you. All night long you can hear ambulance, fire trucks, and angry honks from the busy street out front. The breakfast was really good. The eggs were weird.

We recently stayed for the weekend. Our room was very narrow despite booking a suite. The room was dirty with stains on the floors and counters and dust on the refrigerator and microwave. The sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain unless the plug was removed. The pool area looked dirty. The hot tub was cold and the water looked murky. There was trash around the perimeter so needless to say I wouldn’t let my kids in the pool or hot tub. The breakfast was nice, but not enough seating to accommodate the amount of guests. The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere. The concierge was very helpful and assisted in booking a ghost tour for our family. The bartender at the attached restaurant Toasted was friendly and accommodating and made great drinks. Only bummer was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday.

We are Marriott owners and have stayed at many different properties over the years. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The staff was rude and every request was treated like a terrible inconvenience. The room itself was disgusting, the blankets and sheets were gross, had blood and stains, and the shower didn’t even appear to have been cleaned. We would have pushed the issue, but every question we had for the staff was dismissed or scoffed at. The only areas that were positive were the staff at breakfast, who were all helpful and pleasant, and the concierge. We’ll be reaching out directly to Marriott about our experience, but we won’t be staying here ever again.

The property itself was in a fantastic location. The free breakfast was ok but they were out of a lot of things each day and the trash cans were overflowing in the lobby which we found odd. The pool and hot tub were unusable and filthy which when traveling with kids is something they look forward to. Overall it was a fine location for a weekend trip to see Savannah- but I don’t know if we would stay here again.

This was a very nice hotel with a great location in the historic district, close to the downtown restaurants, shops and bars but far enough from the craziness and noise on weekends. Highly recommend!

Likes: This hotel and staff were welcoming and attentive. The hotel was clean and decorated for the holiday. Check-in & out was easy and effortless. Guest breakfast daily. Dislikes: Upon arrival there wasn't any on-site parking, I had to park a block away. Breakfast had few options, and some things were available, but only upon request, like grits. I had no idea they were available, why not just put them on the breakfast bar with everything else? There needs to be signage. The pool didn't look appealing the water was dingy and cloudy. All in all, I would stay here again.

Enjoyed very much the clean, efficient and quality we found in Springhill Suites. Also, we were just a short, easy walk from restaurants and shops in the City Market area of Savannah. Very convenient and very enjoyable.
