Broadway Mansions Hotel Shanghai, Top hotel op een top locatie.
Dit hotel is een echte aanrader. Prima service en geweldige kamers. Wij zijn hier geweest van 24/11/2011 tot 03/12/2011. Absoluut TOP. Voor een mooi uitzicht (Waibaidu bridge, Huangpu river, Bund, Pudong) moet je wel een Deluxe Bund Room boeken. Die enkele Euro's meer per dag is dat zeker waard. Wij hadden al op voorhand geen ontbijt geboekt, omdat we al wisten dat je op 5 a 10 minuten lopen van het hotel een ruime keus heb aan allerlei (ook Westerse) koffie/theehuizen (Subway, Starbucks, ect. Onze favoriet was echter Costacoffee, pal aan de Bund wandelpromenade, dus een ontbijt met een uitzicht. Shanghai is ook geweldig. Veel te zien en te doen. Vriendelijke mensen en een prima openbaar vervoer. Restaurants zijn er ook in overvloed, allerlei smaken, en dito prijsklassen. Shanghai en hotel Broadway Mansions "moet je doen" En natuurlijk was alles weer prima geregeld door Expedia. Cor en Marja.

fantastic view over the Bund. good value for money. Attention for the Japaneese restaurant , which is in the hotel building; they charged € 400 for 2 persons; they misinformed us about the menu price by a factor 10 !

zeldzame traditie
In een stad waar alles pas 5 jaar oud lijkt (inclusief een eeuwenoude tempel die recent is gesloopt en herbouwd ivm aanleg metrostation) is het een verademing om in een oud, bijna koloniaal hotel te mogen verblijven. Gratis Upgrade bij aankomst, al moest ik nog wel om 4 uur 's-middags nog een half uur wachten voordat kamer schoon was. Kamer enorm en geweldig. Dat geldt ook voor het ontbijt, dat wel buitenproportioneel duur is. Uitstekend verblijf gehad. Ik raad het iedereen aan.

Waar voor je geld
Net en leuk hotel in oude stijf met eigen charme. Opvallend tussen alle nieuwe hoge gebouwen op het einde van de Bund. Met name de kamer met zicht op de rivier bieden 's avonds een spectaculaire aanblik op de verlichte gebouwen aan de overzijde van de rivier (Pudong zijde). Kamers zijn iets gedateerd, maar wel netjes en schoon. Service is goed.

Beautifull view
Prachtig uitzicht, goede lokatie op de bund. Het hotel echter is zwaar verouderd en netheid laat te wensen over. Op het eerste zicht lijkt dit hotel betaalbaar, echter eenmaal binnen loopt de meter bij alles wat u doet tegen extreme tarieven. Internet, ontbijt, drankje, etc.

Great location. Only 1 elevator was working when I stayed, which had to be shared with apparently half of China. The staff were nice. The wifi was substandard. I was probably the only other Westerner/non-Chinese, but most staff could speak some English. It was indeed clean and the room was pretty spacious.

Overall I was very impressed with the location and friendliness of the staff. I had mentioned that I had an early morning flight leaving Thursday morning and they had organized a cab in advance to drop me off at the airport. I also mentioned that there was a mosquito in my room and they even set up mosquito repellent for me. The service was superb and I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Shanghai.

the room is pretty old (as it should be) and it is expensive. They cannot get my credit card to work which have been successfully accepted somewhere else in China for couple times. but the local is great and the people work there are very friendly. Room is old but spacious, the scale is off (though I don't care about it much.) didn't try the breakfast. what I am not very happy and I think can be easier improved are: 1. you have to have room key in order to use the restroom *in the lobby* which means after you check out, you cannot use the restroom (even though you can borrow it from the people work there) 2. there isn't much seating in the lobby.

Absolutely fantastic location and they provide an excellent breakfast. I was travelling with a friend and we had a large/very spacious twin room with a city view overlooking Suszhou Creek...... Room Facilities were excellent. There was a burn mark on the carpet but not an issue.

Superb location for this classic hotel near the Bund.The restaurant was good too! Loved our view of theBund, the river, and Pudong! Wish the staff had more English but their attitude was good and we got where we needed to every time

Estive Hospedado neste hotel durante uma Feira na China agora em Junho 2018! Fizemos reserva para um Quarto com Duas Camas de Solteiro, Não Fumantes! Ao chegar lá; fomos acomodados em um apartamento com uma cama casal; e negado a troca nas diversas vezes que contatamos e solicitamos a alteração!! Não Recomendo.

Sehr gute Lage, allerdings ließ bei allen 3 gebuchten Zimmern die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig (auf dem Boden lagen Krümel, Flusen, Nussschalen, Taschentücher und Fußnägel (!) herum). Personal an der Rezeption spricht teilweise nur sehr schlecht englisch, sichtlich gelangweiltes Personal in der Bar, das mit dem Herstellen von Cocktails aus der Karte deutlich überfordert war (Wartezeit 20 Minuten, Mixtur entsprach nur annähernd den Originalrezepten) - vieles davon ist zwar nicht dramatisch, aber für ein Hotel mit diesen Preisen eigentlich enttäuschend

Great Location
The hotel is exceptionally located in Shanghai. It is close to everything i.e. i.e. Bund, yet the neighbourhood is quiet. It is safe to walk around at night. Transportation-wise it is easy to get to and from. And you can't beat if for the price.

It's the small things that make a difference
Firstly I would say this is a nice hotel and in a great location. I would give the hotel a much better rating but for the niggling small things. I was not too upset by the water leak in my bathroom (which was solved rapidly) but expected better advice from the concierge when I asked about a trip outside the city. He really should be able to help visitors and know about buses/trains. The thing than annoyed me most was that I paid for the executive floor believing that you got some benefit. When I asked if they could print my airplane tickets they said that it would cost me 10 yuan per page which seems extortionate. When I complained the staff said that if I wanted to save money I might be able to find a shop in town that would print the tickets more cheaply! Surely printing a page of text costs almost nothing and should be part of the executive package? Anyway, I would not advise booking the executive rooms as the breakfast offered in the executive lounge is worse than the standard breakfast in the restaurant and the free afternoon tea consists of a few tired looking snacks, rather disappointing, I was expecting more.

泊まりたくないホテル
2泊で3万円(朝食なし)のホテルとは思えない対応！ 21時にホテルに到着、チェックイン時に予約がされていないと言われ1時間以上待たされた。 ドアボーイは常時ポケットに手を入れた状態(いつ見ても)寒いのは分かるが、みっともない。 ホテルのマッサージ(1時間580元(約1万円))を頼んだが部屋に備え付けのクーポン(100元サービス)を使おうとしたら使えないと拒否され、税金15％もブラスされた。2日目のマッサージではクーポンが使えた。 チェックイン時にガードでの支払いを請求されサインもした(デボジットではなく支払い)が、チェックアウト時に再び請求されカードの提示を求められる。チェックイン時に支払いを済ませている旨を話しすると30分待たされ、行っていいよ！ 中国とはいえ、中々ないホテルだと感じました。 皆様、このホテル要注意です。 お気をつけ下さい。 部屋からの眺望は良かったです。

11月下旬から３連泊しました。 家族４人でしたのでツインルーム２部屋です。 良くガイドブックの写真で紹介されている浦東地区の 高層ビルが良く見える部屋でした、外灘(バンド)の伝統的洋風建築物も 見えており立地条件は最高です。 建物はかなり古いですが内部は近年改装されており綺麗な部屋でした。 徒歩５分程度の場所にファミリーマートもありましたのでちょっとして 食料や小物などの買い物にも便利です。 お勧めです。

Best night view for Shanghai harbour.
Although the hotel is not nearby subway station but we can conveniently catch the Taxi. It has a great view in Shanghai located in front of the ancient heritage bridge. We can also see the night view of the whole harbour from the bridge.

Det är ett hotell som utgör sig för att vara 5stj. Det har inte varit renoverat de sista 30 åren och de slitna heltäckningsmattorna inte tvättade de sista 10 åren. Vi västerlänningar har andra krav på renlighet. Hotelchefen gjorde mkt klart att när man bokar via sidor på internet; får man sämsta rummen. Handdukar och lakan var dock hög standard.

Jättebra resa. Spännande stad. Sängarna var hårda. Kände fjädrarna underifrån i sängen och folk rökte på sina rum. Fick byta rum då jag hade svårt att sova pga rök i mitt rum och på våningen. Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående.

very disappointed
I booked a twin room for my daughters who were with me on this trip, I have stayed here before and find the location very handy. The hotel gave them a double and the very rude guy at reception insisted that a booking for a twin room was a booking for a double and the hotel had no obligation to give a twin room. The room I had was dirty, the carpet was stained in multiple places and the corridor and room smelled of smoke, daughters room on the floor above was the same. Also found locals being dealt with at reception before non locals which was very disturbing, felt like discrimination . I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again

歴史のあるホテルだが、上海の運転手はこのホテルを知っている人は少ないので、説明が大変です。 内装は綺麗で快適です。デラックスに泊まりましたが、窓が小さかったのが残念でした。最上階に行かなかったのがちょっと残念です。

先日、このホテルに宿泊し、従業員の皆様のご対応に大変助けられました。 南京東路で詐欺にあい、警察に届け出たいものの中国語も話せない、警察の場所もわからない私がホテルの従業員の方に相談したところ、警察に連絡をしてくれ、どう対処すべきかを伝えてくれました。フライトの時間が迫っており、警察まで出る自転車を貸していただいたり、無事に解決後は、私のフライト時間を気にして、すぐにタクシーを読んでいただきました。本当に感謝です。
