Staff at reception gave us a room which was not cleaned (2 night stay in August'19). After speaking to the duty manager this issue was resolved appropriately. Furthermore the location is located a bit off central sightseeing however the property is clean and luxurious. Situated near the metro, just a few minutes walking. Despite the big error made, I still recommend this property.

This is a great property. The location of this hotel is a bit out of the way. However there’s a metro station that’s only five minutes away. Getting to center of Shanghai is not a problem. This hotel is very quiet and clean. It was exactly what I needed.

距離市區太遠,去上海外灘需要搭1小時的士!不過服務員態度友善!設備也很完善。但自助早餐不太好吃,希望可以改善。

Hotel was comfort, but so far from downtown, metro station on five minutes walk which is good if you don't want to take expensive taxi to go Downtown. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was ok, 24 hours reception and people do speak little English

Good Value for Dollar, Helpful Staff
The Regal offered very good value for dollar. It is located about 7 minutes walk from a metro station. The neighborhood is a bit remote (no restaurants or shopping). It's about 45 minutes from Pudong airport (with no traffic). My one complaint would be that the hotel restaurant offered a very limited menu. The staff were very nice. I had a problem with my room. Ella at the reception did a great job solving the problem. So overall, I would recommend this hotel to other business travelers.

Awesome Shanghai Hotel
Amazing hotel, great service, everyone from front desk reception, to concierge, to house keeping and to restaurant's staff were helpful and obliging, location is close to metros, it was wonderful to have such a nice big room, accommodating staff , happy staying there and will be back!

clean stay
hotel is in separated commercial area so no shops or restaurants, the hotel is setup for you to eat at the hotel, there are a few local shops on other side of rail bit very limited and you need to know where, air conditioning is fixed even though room has controls, oh there is a Starbucks in another commercial building nearby so that helps, really to sum it up.... no shopping, no outside food, far away from western mainstream so it's used more for overnight tourist buses, it comes with a completely empty kitchen with no plates cutlery pots etc so don't rely on cooking yourself, they do sell plastic plates and forks as a token option, so again it's setup for buses and bus packages,

추웠습니다. 불친절하구요.
위치는 지하철 역 옆이라 편리합니다. 대신 와이가오차오 지역 자체가 도심에서 멀리 떨어져 있고, 지하철이 종점까지 오는 것과 아닌 것이 있어 도심으로 가셔야 하는 분은 은근히 불편할 것 같습니다. 방은 아주 넓고 좋았습니다만, 좀 추웠습니다. 온도조절기를 계속 켜 놓아도 충분한 온도까지 올라가지 않았습니다. 식당은 좋은 편이었지만, 직원들이 약간 퉁명합니다. 조식 없는 패키지여서 따로 돈을 내고 먹겠다고 했는데, 내부에서 에러가 있었는지, 식사 중에 쫓겨났습니다. 카드로 먼저 차지까지 했는데도 말이죠.

I enjoyed my stay at the Regal Plaza in Shanghai. The subway station is close to the hotel. However, I forgot to check how far it is from the Hongqiao train station. It is very far from the Hongqiao train station, about an hour away by taxi from the train station. I do not recommend anyone this hotel if you are traveling to and from the Hongqiao train station. The room was clean and comfortable but the distance from Hongqiao train station is very far.

Nice Hotel but not good wifi.
It was a great hotel for the price. very clean and comfortable. The room was nice and well designed. New and clean bathrooms and nice kitchen area. It is 40 minutes away from downtown (that's little far) if you are a tourist. The only complain I have is the internet. The in room wifi didn't work most of the time and got disconnected multiple time. It wouldn't let you connect to face-book at all. The hotel restaurants are not that great. It is very close to subway. The location of the address appears wrong in google map. So when you search on google map select the one says "Regal plaza hotel and residence SHANGHAI". If you take the metro Line-6 get off at Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone North and take Exit-1 you will see the hotel on your right. But you have to go around to pass the fence (~3 minute walk).

Lovely hotel but very far from central Shanghai
This was a really lovely hotel with a massive two-bed apartment as our room and was highly satisfactory in every way. Staff were friendly, there was an English afternoon tea in the restaurant. However, we had not realised this was no-where near central Shanghai, but in the free trade zone. It was only an hour or so from the airport which was convenient but more like 1 1/2 hours to Shanghai, so this would not suit everybody. We actually found it pleasantly peaceful and relaxing, and were able to visit Shanghai for a day trip.

偽物のリーガル
他の方々のコメントにもありましたが、偽物のリーガルとしか言いようがない。実際に偽物なのかもしれない。 チェックイン時のスタッフは若い経験のない女の子2名だけで、個人客、家族連れの顧客を無視して、30分以上も団体の旅行会社と堂々とフロントで打ち合わせと言うより世間話をされていて、怒ったら、中国語でチェックインなのか?と受付スタッフの失礼な態度。もちろん、リーガルのはずなのに英語は通じない。ホテルの顔のはずのフロントがこれでは偽物のリーガルとしか言いようがない。更に、部屋もエアコンが全く効かない。クーラーが潰れている。スタッフに言っても他の部屋もだ。と言われ、暑い状態。快適感などない状態で、二度と利用したくないし、誰にも勧めたくない。勧めては行けないと良心から感じた。当然、ベルボーイも居なかった。ホテル内のラウンジ等も全て閉まっていた。本当のリーガルとは大違いなので、偽物なのだと確信。

Although there is a kitchen in room, cannot cook unless you pay extra to rent the kitchen implements. But the way, there is no sauna.

Good hotel at Shanghai Waigaoqiao FTZ
Service standard, including front desk representative is obviously below average. Security and lighting in public area is not sufficient, and do not feel safe environment. Good facilities inside the room. Hotel location is far away from Pudong CBD and more far way from Puxi CBD. Too remote in surrounding facility at night time.

都心から遠すぎて何もなさすぎる後悔した。
4泊の予定でしたが、1泊のみで残りの3泊は、返金されませんでしたが、キャンセルさせていただきました。 電車でホテルから、人民広場まで、50分、浦東国際空港まで90分遠すぎです。 タクシーだと人民広場まで、40分、浦東国際空港まで40分遠すぎです。 ホテルの部屋内も、埃くさく、シャワーの水も埃?土?臭いでした。 もう2度と泊まりません。 3泊分の宿泊代返してもらいたいです。 時間がもったいないHOTELです。

Keeping rooms not heated on 7 degrees in winter is not comfortable. Even with AC the whole night in morning just 14 degrees

Very far from the city, and inconvenient to dining
The room itself was generally very comfortable and clean. The most disappointing experience during our stay at the hotel was dining in. As our stay at the hotel was a short stay, we did not include breakfast in our booking. We approached one of the stuff at the breakfast buffet to make enquiry as for the price per person. The staff advised us of the price, and we were asked our room number for her to prepare the invoice. She lead us to our table and handed us the invoice for signature, without any mention or alerting us that the buffet was closing as we were walking in. As we begin to approach the restaurants to get food, all the utensils have been taken away and the food had already packed up. We managed to get some bread and boiled eggs and nothing else. We expected to get the food and services for the price that we paid for. Not only we did not get much food but also a 15% service charge was charged to our bill with no service provided. The staff English was poor, which made it difficult to communicate for any compliant.

And we do apologize that we did not provide the qualified serivce to imform you the breakfast time is from 7:30 - 10:00, and the staff failed to further communicate with you making you even more uncomfortable.
