'I needed time away for myself. I was feeling burned out at work and there was just a lot of stress in my life. I know I wanted space to think, read, write and be at one with nature. The Pond Cottage was just what I needed. It was cozy, quaint, clean, well maintained and just watching and listening to the waves was so relaxing and reparative. The pictures don't do it justice. 'We've stayed before and have touched on the wonderful details. This trip for us was needed and rejuvenated us. In addition to the owners being the most generous people who truly care, we needed the ambiance of the cottage. If you are familiar with "mindfulness" you have what you need. The smell of the coffee, the waves crashing the beach, the wind whistling thru the trees, the warm fire and extra food treats all allow you to relax and spend undistracted time together. 'My wife and I along with my parents had a nice weekend getaway. Very quiet and relaxing. Used the grill to grill burgers and kitchen for morning breakfast. Bring your own KCups for coffee. Really nice getaway. Everything went really smooth. And if you like to eat out lots in the area. We ate at Majerle's Black River Grill and enjoyed it.'

'The owners were gracious and great hosts. They checked in daily on how the stay was going and also asked if we needed recommendations or suggestions on things to do in the area. They also were good to about having a nice and clean environment at the house as everything was so perfect. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting the area!'

'My husband and I along with our two kids stayed here for a quick one night getaway. The house is super comfortable and cute, and was the perfect size for our group. We enjoyed all the little extra amenities throughout the home. Also really enjoyed the hot tub! We hiked the ice age trail which is just a couple minutes down the road. Overall a great stay and Cherry was very prompt and sweet during communications.'

'Enjoyed my 2 night get-away with friends. I would call it a 6 person property for sleeping accommodations. Appreciated the closeness to the lake and the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. We all hope to return next year!'

'What a relaxing getaway for us who are busy raising three kids- 21,17 and 14. It’s been well over a decade since we did anything as husband and wife, without the kids. We grew up in Port Washington and savored being on Lake Michigan on two beautiful Spring Days. We took lots of walks and ate take out on the patio. With such views who needs a restaurant?? A total gem of a place, we will be back again. Thank you Mark!!'
