I booked this stay it was listed at a much higher rate per night I checked it on line the day we arrived it was half the rate per night including taxes & fee's. I contacted the office at the property and was told I would have to contact Expedia who I booked it through to see about giving me an adjustment/credit. I was told by Expedia they would have to check with the property first so they put me on hold. They came back to me and said the property said they would not offer a credit/adjustment. That just tells me both the M Solvang and Expedia are only concerned about the profit and not about customer service. The one thing the office did offer the next day was to move us to a nicer room. But we were already unpacked and settled in the room we were in so we declined the offer. Now the property itself. The property is nice cottage like settings. The room was standard size. The website says the rooms have ceiling fans but the two rooms we looked at didn't. The website say's they offer vending machines but there wasn't any. The bed in the room we stayed in was terrible! It was like sleeping on a concrete floor it was so hard. It was the worst hotel bed I have ever slept on in my life. It was so bad I was counting the days before I could leave and sleep somewhere else and when you are on vacation the last thing you want to think about is how soon the trip will be over. Long story I did not get much sleep here. I will not use Expedia again nor will I stay at The M Solvang again.
