'Great property and value for money , communication with the host was great and they helped us when our vehicle broke down. Only fault we could find was the top floor ceiling was very low and a bit of a problem for the adults. maybe a note in the initial booking form to explain this would be a good idea. Other than that PERFECT.'

'Lovely clean, very well equipped cottage with a delightful garden. All our needs were catered for. The cottage is in a fabulous setting. Ideal location for walking our dog and a wonderful pub providing exceptional food within a few minutes stroll. Splendid National Trust property almost on the doorstep. 'The property is well situated for exploring Exmoor, both on foot and by car. A short walk takes you to Exford where there are 2 pubs and a teashop(the hub for star gazing nights on a Thursday). There is also a fantastic playground on the green. We were welcomed with home baked bread, spreads and a delicious cake. The cottage has everything, even towels for our dog. 'It was a fantastic house, it had a great garden. But….. there was only one coutch, en 2 little chairs. The garden was big, but only four metal hard chairs. We missed a nice one, or two or three or four to ly down in the garden. But it was great, we liked Bristol, Glastonbury, Bath, Wells. Al lot of musea. The dog was very welcome in all these places. 'Cannot fault this lovely property right on the banks of the river! We stayed a week at the Nest. It is more spacious than it appears. It is beautifully appointed with stylish decor and a sumptuously comfortable bed. There is a good size lounge and dining area with log fire, to cosy up and read a book. There is also another lounge area with a TV, a small perfectly formed bathroom with bath and a kitchenette. Nic and Hannah are wonderful and caring hosts. There is a beautiful garden at the...

'Ein geräumiges Cottage für 4 Personen gut ausgestattet mit neuer Terrasse. Sehr ruhig und manchmal hört man die Traditions Eisenbahn. Gute Ausgangsposition um die Landschaft in Somerset/Devon ohne Stress zu erkunden. Vermieter sind sehr um das Wohlbefinden bemüht.'

'We returned to stay at the Old Stables again for a few days, coupled with a visit to Glastonbury and Wells. Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back!'

'Relaxing and quiet location. The property was as listed and we were very comfortable during our stay. Little touches like Christmas tree and pint of milk were welcome. Despite the typical British weather the property’s location allowed us to explore the local area such as Cheddar Gorge and Wells. Would thoroughly recommend Berrow beach-quiet and dog friendly! We loved the view out across the fields.'
