The property lacked quite a bit. First, when we walked into the room, there was a stail, musty smell that didn't sit right with us. We went out and bought Lysol and sprayed the room down. There were con webs on the windows. The tub was rusty. The vent was full of dust. And there was a mechanism on the ceiling above our bed that was so dirty and gross. Our keys never worked!!!! The girls at the desk agreed it was a huge problem! They said they keep telling maintenance but nothing gets done. I spoke to three different girls. It was only a two night stay, thank GOD! .... For my son's graduation weekend. So we put up with it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. $750 for two nights ...... You should get what you pay for.

We were given a room that was filthy. When we returned to front desk there was no acknowledgement or apology just simply handed us another room key to different room. New room was ok but not greatest. Would never stay here again

Nice size room, good shower pressure. Room was quiet and soundpoof. Ony issue was the side door closest to my room didn't open after numerous attempts including a walk back to the lobby to re-configure the key. Upgraded room came with a box containing water, apple juice, trail mix and granola bars.

I’ve stayed here a few times before years ago. Wow what an absolute dump it has become. The key card would not work in the outer door which meant we had to keep trying and trying and it was poorly lit. Then the we got to the room after 5 minutes of trying only to find the room door would not open right away as some people walked through the halls, which were filthy, watching us try, smoking. We had two young teens with me and it was really nerve wracking to have people see you can’t get into the building or your room. Then, guess what…the toilet did not work so with four people in the room that was not fun. The front of the office outside had garbage strewn everywhere by the can. The inside where you check in had food on the carpet and an overflowing bin. I felt bad for the person behind the desk who was alone but they gave awful directions to the room so I had to drive back and ask again where the room actually was- only to have all the aforementioned trouble getting in. I’m sad to see it so unsafe and decrepit. It used to be bare bones, but clean and never felt unsafe, and a good price. Either shut it down or clean it up. I will never stay here again.

The only complaint is that one of the key cards didn’t work and we had to get it reset twice. We may have erased it the second time by putting it next to the magnetic charger for our iPhone but who knows. They promptly and cheerfully reset it.

The room we were given was still dirty! Pee in the toilet, muck in the bathtub, dirty towels, sticky countertops… when we called to let them know, they put us in a new room… a downgraded room… with no remorse or refund. On top of that, the pool is broken - and the hallways were visibly dirty everywhere we went. As if they hadn’t been vacuumed in months. I thought for sure we were going to catch something. Nasty place.

The hotel is in poor condition and desperately needs updating. The bathroom in particular was in rough shape. We had to change rooms because there was either filth or rust in the bathtub, and the room was generally unclean. The hallways were dirty and smelled like stale cigarettes. Overall, not a great stay.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodations at Red Roof Inn Plus+. The reviews I'd read had me expecting a dirty motel with poor service (not that that would keep me away). When I called to ask for an earlier arrival time, the young lady on the phone was pleasant and very helpful. She had me come at 1 AM, the morning of the night I'd booked here. She assigned me a great room next to the pool (sadly, that was closed) at an even better rate than Hotels.com. When I left in the morning the young lady at the desk was very friendly as well. After my two "nights" stay I checked out and had a highly satisfying departure. All in all the only issue I could find with the Red Roof Inn Plus+ was that the tile water in the shower had terrible pressure.
