'We had a short stay, but the convenience to walking across the street to the Mayo Hospital was definitely a bonus. Everything you need is right there, a restaurant or a few groceries from the pantry to cook yourself in the full kitchen! Very nice place, we highly recommend!'

'I liked that the cabin is fairly isolated. It was a great location to watch and photograph the Perseid meteor shower. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I did not like is the lack of running water at the cabin. A very minor issue for me as someone who has done a lot of camping. I would definitely consider staying here again some time. 'The cabin was actually nicer than the pictures gave them credit for. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The bathrooms were much nicer than expected. Both the cabin and the bathrooms were very clean. The grounds around the cabin really needed a good mowing. It would have been helpful if firepit tools for moving hot logs or cleaning out old charred pieces of wood were provided. Not something we have to bring with us. '

'Spacious home, with lots of little sitting areas for everyone to have quiet time on their own. We enjoyed being walking distance from the Root River Trail. Short drive to Lanesboro where there was plenty to do.We were lucky to be in Lanesboro for the Rhubarb Festival, which was enjoyed by all. We also went to the The Mane Theatre for an excellent satire, "The Outsider". Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.'

'We stayed in the Bear cabin which was very clean upon arrival and welcoming. The patio has a table and chairs outside which was very helpful as we forgot our camping chairs! Every interaction with the owners was very friendly and helpful. Grills look nice but could use a little TLC. Making sure they have a full tank and that they are working. Between two nearby we couldn't get them going. They had extra propane tanks but by the time we realized we were too hungry and cooked inside instead. One...

'This was a very large beautiful house. Plenty of space for 6 women. we had a small problem and our host was was very quick to get us the help that was needed. Very comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We had our coffee in the sunroom, a very nice way to start the day. We had 2 cars so parking was a bit of a challange. Just leave one vehicle on the top. Problem solved. Plenty of room. Our stay was short so we didn't have time for the pool. We did however enjoy a few wild games of Pac Man. We...

'Great place for a private retreat in isolation - it’s at the end of a road, immediately adjacent to the WI channel of the Mississippi River. A little boat traffic and periodic train, but nothing that is disturbing. There are two separate fire pits at your disposal with plenty of firewood too! Cabin is small but perfect for 1 or 2.'
