Great place!
Great historic place with modern comfort. Very close to restaurants, shops, the waterfront etc. Access to private beach club and valet parking. Even Starbucks coffe for my wife... All in all a great place.

Wonderful staff. The hotel is unique and in the best spot for shopping and historic downtown sightseeing. We did not realize there was a beach club a 10 minute ride away, which was a big plus. Would come back to this property.

Hotel is beautiful and the staff makes it so easy to check in and relax. They made you feel special and at ease. The valet staff was excellent. The room was beautiful and has a castle feel.

A step back in time! This historical, luxury hotel is a wonderful place to journey back in to the past. The architecture, design, and artwork make it a special place. Rooms are a very generous size! The Starbucks off the lobby was a bonus!

They advertised a beautiful swimming pool with a ocean view which is why we booked with them. Turns out the pool and view pictured was NOT from the hotel rather from a beach club that belongs to the hotel which is 2 miles away. This is misleading advertisement, I don’t think it’s a good business practice and I don’t know how they get away with that.

My wife and I could not wait to stay at this historic hotel. Although it was $700 a night, we wanted to treat ourselves. We stayed two nights with a noisy air conditioner that made you wonder if that was mold or just dirt hanging on it. We went out for the day anticipating maid service with fresh white towels only to discover that we did not receive room service. We hurried to find a maid to get fresh towels, etc. She was helpful and kind. The bed alone had a red velvet headboard with two intimidating body mark impressions left from prior guests. The room definitely could use remodeling. Remember, we paid $700 a night for what we would describe as a three star rated hotel. It was immensely disappointing! One plus for the hotel was that the staff was very helpful and nice.

The lobby area is captivating with beautifully eclectic art. We were greeted quickly and offered a welcome cup of champagne. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, from valet to the front desk to the bartender. We only stayed one night and it was a splurge for us, but well worth it since you're centrally located to all that St. Augustine has to offer - good restaurants, fun bars, museums, boutique shops, the fort, and more - also we were traveling with our pup and the Casa Monica is pet friendly! We had a wonderful stay in a clean room with a comfortable bed. We ordered a couple desserts in the evening and both were delicious! If we come through St. Augustine again, we will definitely consider this place again for our stay.

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is perfectly located and near the old town, Flagler University, shopping, dining, etc. Very convenient for sure. The restaurant in the hotel was surprisingly VERY good (spoiler alert - save room for the bread pudding desert!). Bar was equally good and welcoming, lobby was comfortable and inviting. The hotel itself is nice - not great but not bad either. Kind of almost what you would expect for an Autograph level Marriot. Could use updating though. Pool and hottub worked well and while in need of tile and coping repair, nothing major. The staff were courteous and helpful for the most part (though the car~valet stood there watching me empty the car and didn't do anything) but otherwise all staff were great. Check in was a breeze as was checkout. Our only complaint was the room decor. I get that the 'theme' is old world Spain, but - well - ugh. Our room itself was spacious though the settee had an odd stain (actually 2) that still haunts me, and the crushed red velvet headboard was dusty (and dare I say, passe). The bedside lamp cords were strung in a way that exposed them to the mattress surface and could not be tucked away, the sheets were meh and the bathroom in need of a plumber (sink clogged, slow drains, lousy pressure). They need updating. No microwave, but at least a drip coffee maker for the first cup of the day. Walls were thin and one night we did hear immense amounts of loud noises from next door until almost midnight.

Have stayed here before. On this trip I liked everything except for the height of the toilet in the bathroom. It was designed for a very short person or a very small child. This did not occur on previous visit.

This hotel is in the historic district's center, making it very convenient to walk to many of the city's attractions. It's a beautiful hotel and the most courteous staff. It is a little expensive, but you pay for the commodity, location, and first-star service.

We checked in at 4:00 and our room wasn’t ready. They checked our luggage but left it by the side of the counter. It was very busy with not just guest but tourist. Anyone could have taken our luggage. So, my son sat with the luggage beside the counter(weird). I finally asked to be put in a room at 5:00. It was frustrating because we were tired. We got in around 5:30. The rooms are way out dated!! The smell was terrible and my eyes were itching. I have allergies and I love that they are pet friendly but I think they should have designated rooms for people that have allergies to animals. The bathroom was terrible. We took luke warm/cold showers daily. I also found white powder around the bathroom door our last day. It looked like they had pulled the carpet up and put pesticides down??? It was convenient but the price we paid due to the holidays…just wasn’t worth it. I’ve stayed at many Kessler properties and was really taken back by how terrible the rooms(we had 2) were. The restaurant was really pretty but food was mediocre(we had breakfast). It was disappointing but nothing we could do. Definitely, won’t be going back.
