'Condo was clean, well supplied and comfortable with a wonderful balcony on the lake. Our family had a great time fishing on the dock and all over the lake in our bass boat and caught some bass and a catfish. Jerry, the host has been available and very responsive during our whole trip! This is or 4th vacation here and is our favorite stay at Santee.'

'Great area, and the house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked for cooking. Good hiking trails and boat rentals. The host responded right away to questions. The patio was not clean, garbage lying around and filthy chair cushions, and two of the three bathrooms were not cleaned. The kitchen stove and fridge were dirty. The host said that it was hard to get cleaners in that area.'

'Our reservations were canceled after we had received confirmation notice and instructions on how to enter the property. We were sent a welcome notice from the owner, but later told that the renters in the property wanted to extend their stay, so we were left out in the cold. We ended up having to rent motel rooms while waiting for our credit card to be released after we had been charged for the stay. We ended up in motel rooms for 12 nights instead of a house we had reserved.'

'2 TVs in the living room: one didn't work and one only got a few channels. Need to have soft, fluffy towels and a sheet of guidelines that tell what to do when checking out. Strip beds? etc.'

'We had the most relaxing trip at Bells Marina & Resort. Our room was clean, and we loved that the decor wasn’t typical generic hotel prints. Beware of the beds! They are so comfortable they practically suck you in. Everything was convenient to our room. The lake was right outside our door, which couldn’t have pleased us more. The store, diner, and rental boats were right there. We had planned some hiking, and we discussed renting an electric boat. In the end, we opted to sit by the lake and have...

'While this location isn’t for everyone, I was so happy with it! We stayed here for a bee keeping class in Holly Hill. Property owner was so nice, the home was very clean, and we were able to bring our 2 dogs! The fenced in front yard was my favorite! I was also really happy with how well stocked it was- tin foil, good pots/pans, comfortable bed, waters & drinks, fans in every room, plenty of dishes, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. I also felt safe here. Perfect little getaway...

'Great location on Lake Marion. Dock is set up for fishing and we caught a few big ones. House itself is exactly as described. Maybe not the Ritz, but it's Lake Marion. It's perfect for what it is. Very nice screened in porch looking out over the water. Almost a low country feel to the property and views. About 5 min from 1-95 and 10 min from Santee Food Lion. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped appropriately. Great location for a golf weekend as well - plenty of decent courses...
