Stunning views
Our 2nd time here for a reason … great little place away from town. Private, peaceful , gorgeous! There are kayaks to use and a swimming pool . A grill if you want to hang out and enjoy all that this little gem has to offer, which we did. They have a cooler, beach chairs ,beach towels and snorkel equipment you can take to the beaches, definitely a plus ! And the owners Caron and Dave are just super ! Love it here !!

Just what we needed!
Rendezvous by the Sea was just what we needed! The property is beautiful! Caron and Dave have done a wonderful job with landscaping and creating the perfect spot on St.John. It’s close enough to Cruz Bay to enjoy the restaurants and shopping, but in a quiet lovely neighborhood with lots of privacy. We stayed in the top unit and it had everything we needed. The views are spectacular! Having access to the beach and use of the kayaks was a real bonus. We visited several beaches during our visit and enjoyed a couple of days just hanging out at the property and kayaking and snorkeling in Rendezvous Bay.

Stay at Rendevous Bay
This was our second visit to this lovely place. We had the upstairs unit which has a beautiful view of the bay. This is a studio unit with a king bed, large bathroom and patio. There’s a keurig coffee maker(bring extra if you drink a lot of coffee). There is a small fridge and a microwave. In the bathroom there are plates, silverware,bowls and a cutting board. We ate breakfast in and packed lunch daily. We used the gas grill twice and made steak,potatoes and veggies. There’s a lovely octagonal pool looking out at the harbor. In the afternoon there’s shade by the pool and on the patios. There’s a path down to a lovely rocky beach and there are chairs to sit in by the water. There are 2 person kayaks which we used to paddle across to Ditcleif beach. The snorkeling from their beach is great when there are calm winds and the snorkeling across the bay was also lovely. The owners, Caron and Dave, are lovely people and very accommodating. They have a sweet cat who roams around but doesn’t go in the rooms. There’s a great parking spot which is very easy to access. You can walk along the road viewing the harbor. We definitely recommend this wonderful place for couples. The view is magical !

Rendezvous Bay Beauty
Beautiful, quiet location. All I ever heard was the wind, water, and birds. Wonderfully architectured property felt like a five star resort. The begonia lined drive and the plants on the property topped off the paradise feel. We snorkeled along the reef just below the villa with the gear provided by our host. It was beautiful coral with easy access. Great starter snorkeling!

This property is beyond amazing. My well appointed and guest suite was very clean and incredible views and sounds, such as the ocean waves crashing below. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. The only negative is that I had no (Verizon) cell service in the area.

Best place to stay
The property is beautiful and just as described. Bed is super comfy and we had everything we needed during our stay. If you plan to snorkel, I'd bring or rent your own masks (we had issues with them). And definitely bring bug spray, or you'll get eaten alive.

Island perfection
This VRBO was perfect for my 3rd trip to St. John. Owners have a little slice of heaven! The location, VIEW, decor, pool and the little extras; beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels made the visit relaxing and easy. Owners are very helpful and responsive. A special piece of heaven in paradise!
As others have said, this amazing property is even more beautiful than the pictures do it justice. There is no way to fully describe what it's like to experience the peace and quiet of this place - with the lapping of the waves as balm for the soul, and the views as renewal and inspiration. We were blessed to stay at La Mer (the upper level), and had an awesome time there! Thank you, Caron and Dave, for your hospitality.

review of Rendevous by the Sea
This property has a stunning view of Rendevous Bay that is truly jaw dropping as one approaches. We stayed in the upstairs unit which was a spacious room with a large bathroom and lovely shower. There was a deck which overlooked the harbor and had a table for eating. The room has air-conditioning if needed. The unit has a cooler, chairs and snorkeling equipment if needed. There are dishes in the large bathroom and there is a microwave and a small refrigerator. There is only a Keurig coffee maker with enough coffee for 4 days for a couple. A regular coffee maker would be a nice addition or a Keurig attachment that can be used with ground coffee. A bowl for cooking in the microwave could be helpful for those wishing to eat in. There is a grill on the shared patio and there are grilling implements and there was some olive oil and seasoning. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean and beautiful and faced the harbor. There were plenty of comfortable chairs surrounding the pool. There is a rocky beach accessible by stairs next to the pool and there are 2 chairs on the beach. Unfortunately, during our stay the kayaks had disappeared and the owners were away. This has never happened and I am sure they will be replaced. We didn't snorkel in the harbor because it was a bit choppy during our stay, but have heard snorkeling is excellent. We were able to easily visit multiple beaches and we went into town nightly for dinner. Our favorite meal was the Lime Inn which does have a price fixed meal in four courses. THe food was outstanding. We additionally loved Morgan's Mango and ate there twice. We would definitely return to this villa!

Great stay in a beautiful location
I had a wonderful stay at Rendezvous by the sea. The owners were great - friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect. I woke up to a breathtaking sunrise view every morning, and spent several afternoons kayaking or snorkeling in Rendezvous Bay. Can't recommend it enough!

Wonderful Bay Escape
This property was more than we could have imagined. Rendezvous Bay was stunning. The views from the condo, pool, and water edge were fantastic. We came to St. John for relaxation, good food, and beaches. This property is a 7-10 min drive from Cruz bay and about 5 min more to Trunk bay. It was far enough away to feel a bit private, but close enough to get to restaurants and excursions easily. The hosts were wonderful, left a check in treat, gave great information, and had the condo set up well. The snorkeling across the bay from the house was wonderful. We saw turtles, sting rays, star fish, fish, and an octopus in Rendezvous bay. We just kayaked across the bay and snorkeled around. You could stay at the condo for the day comfortably, or use it’s location to visit any place on the island. The host have a variety of supplies that make your stay easier too, snorkel gear if you don’t granger your own, beach chairs, and a small cooler. We would definitely stay here again. Views were terrific!

We absolutely could not have been happier with this property.
From the minute you round the corner and see the amazing view from Caron and Dave’s beautiful property you will be in love!! The view of Rendezvous Bay is just amazing and the pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice! The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed and again that view!😍😎. Caron and Dave were wonderful hosts and even picked us up in town when we couldn’t get a cab. I would highly recommend this place for a couples vacation of a lifetime.

The location is a short curvy drive to the villa but worth the effort. Having access to the water and an amazing view of the bay and ocean is spectacular! Relaxing in or by the pool is very relaxing. We enjoyed 13 beaches, Rams head hike, sailboat ride, and lots of snorkeling!

Paradise
We had not been to USVI or BVI or that part of the Caribbean . I have been on beaches from Hawaii to Cali to Florida to Costa Rica to the Bahamas to the Mediterranian in Italy. USVI has quite possibly the most beautiful post card beaches- white sugar sand, turquoise water that I have ever seen. This property is perfectly situated to enjoy that. The view on the website photos doesn't really do justice to this location. We basically never left the pool area most days. Although we did take a couple days and explore Coral Bay (eat at Miss Lucy) Cinnamon Bay, Honeymoon Beach, the Reef Trail (that is no joke) and the town of Cruz bay. The property is 5 mins from town with a grocery and gas on the way. We did not have a bad meal (we ate at the Brewery, Cafe Roma, Dave and Jerry's, Rum Hut, Greengo, and Longboard) Also had wonderful beef pates served from a shack up at the Windmill on Centerline Rd, before hearing live music and watching the Sun Set over Cinnamon. The room itself is fine, clean, updated, nice bed, TV with Roku- bath, shower, microwave, fridge. But the real amazing part was that pool area, and from there you can walk down a trail to the ocean, they have a kayak that you can take to a beach across the bay only accessible by boat. We kept saying we should do that but didnt want to leave the pool. Check out USVI, it is amazing, and stay here, it was wonderful.

I'm in love with St. John and this Amazing property
Words cannot express how amazing the owners Caron and Dave are and the overall experience in Paradise at their property. The grounds are stunning and the view cannot be beat. The villas have so much to offer and the ability to walk down to the beach and go kayaking was a definite bonus. We had close proximity to everything in Cruz Bay and all the beaches along the island. The welcome gift to get you started with a bottle of Rum, pastries and other drinks and snacks is so very thoughtful. We bought groceries and ate dinner at the villa every night. Amazing sunrises!

Absolutely stunning view!
My husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was amazing. Pictures cannot do this place justice! The view, the sound of the waves crashing on the rocky beach, the pelicans flying around daily— everything is incredible. The place was absolutely spotless. A plate of fruit and a bottle of rum were waiting for us upon arrival. You’ll definitely want to rent a car if you’re staying here! Getting to town was easy once you learned your way. While it’s on the opposite end of the island from most of the beaches (they’re almost al on the north side), driving there was simple, and we didn’t mind the 20-30 min drives. Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing. My husband and I cannot wait to come back!!

Wonderful stay at Rendezvous By the Sea
My wife and I just spent a week here in April for our honeymoon and we had an absolute blast. The owner Caron was very helpful both before and during our stay, and was a great host. She had many recommendations for places to eat, taxi drivers, and beaches to visit that really helped make our trip go much smoother. The villa was beautiful as well. The views of the nearby bay were astounding and we greatly enjoyed looking out over the beautiful blue water each morning. Extra little things such as the included snorkel gear and kayak made it so that even when we didn't want to go into town, we still had plenty of ways to enjoy the bay and the private beach. The villa is pretty removed from Cruz Bay and the stores and restaurants on the island which is nice in that it's quiet and feels very private, but if you want something within walking distance to town this is not the place for you. We taxid all around the island, which wasn't too bad, although the drivers often had difficulty finding the road the villa is on (keep their numbers and use the same ones!). The villa had all the amenities we needed, including a small kitchenette and grill. The shared pool access was nice to have, although most days we went out to different beaches so didn't use it but once. All in all we had a wonderful stay, and the villa was very beautiful and perfect for my wife and I. I would highly recommend staying here as the villa was great and the owner was a great host.

Caron and Dave were wonderful hosts, assisting us with information on how to find their beautiful home, ferry schedules, and the best snorkeling spots. They were friendly and helpful, but left us to our privacy. The accomodations were perfect, with an amazing king bed, towels and linens, a cooler, chairs, all those little extras that make your visit that much easier, not having to lug along those extras. The room was spacious, clean and had plenty of storage. The location and view alone are reason enough to stay here, in this slice of paradise.

Perfect
When we return to St John, we will be sure to stay here again. My husband and I both were in aww when we pulled up to the property. It is beautiful with a breathtaking view of the bay. We had access to a kayak and snorkel gear, and there is a pool when we felt like a change. The room has everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable (I am super picky about beds). Town is under a 10 minute drive, and under 20 minutes to the many spectacular beaches. This vacation was just my husband and I, and it was the perfect romantic rental for us. Caron and Dave were so friendly and hospitable, giving us so much information to help us navigate the island. We look forward to our next visit!

If your goal is to find a quiet peaceful getaway with a beautiful view this is it!
A few miles outside of Cruz Bay this is a gem location. It overlooks a pretty bay outside the bustle of town. The units are nicely decorated and furnished with all the things one needs for an island vacation. It was great after a day at the beach where we used the snorkels, fins, cooler, beach towels, and beach chairs to come back to the property to use the grill on the patio to cook our dinner. We loved sitting on the patio watching seabirds fish and sail boats zip by. The owners Caron and Dave are delightful and very knowledgable about the sites. You can pick their brain if you need. The warm welcoming feeling and comfortable bed made this location five stars for us!

Incredible Oasis!
Rendevous -by-the-Sea was a glorious vacation experience. We stayed in the La Mer unit. The room and bathroom were prettily done. The bedding and especially the pillows were ultra comfortable. Having body wash, shampoo and conditioner available in the shower was a nice touch. We also appreciated the welcome basket. It was lovely to dine al fresco on the balcony patio. Lounging by the pool overlooking the bay was so relaxing.The beach and and watersports equipment were greatly appreciated and put to good use visiting many great beaches. Our favorite snorkeling beaches were Francis and Maho. This was our first trip to th US Virgin Islands and we will be back specifically to stay with our gracious hosts Dave and Caron at Rendevous bay.

Amazing View!
We just returned from a week in La Mer and had an amazing time. Caron and Dave were perfect hosts and thought of everything that we could need while we there. They were there whenever we had a question or just to chat for a few minutes but also let us have our space and privacy. The place is beautiful, the room is clean and the view is breathtaking. We started each morning by watching the sunrise from our bed and ended each day watching the stars from the deck. We loved watching the pelicans dive for fish and listening to the waves as we fell asleep each night. We will definitely be back again!

Wonderful!!
We just got back from our 10 days stay at Rendezvous by the Sea. It has a beautiful view of the bay and we could hear the waves which was very relaxing. We enjoyed using the kayak available to their guests to cross the bay and comb the beach. The pool was so nice and refreshing. The unit was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying there - too bad we couldn't take the nice warm weather home with us. When we left St. John it was in the 80s and when we got home it was -2.

The best place we’ve ever stayed...literally.
Listen up review-readers, you will be doing yourself a disservice by passing up on this place. It is spectacular. The directions provided are great. You pull in & you’re surrounded by green tropical bushes, palm trees & flowering plants whose petals have fallen & are scattered all around the island-inspired tile floor that greets you from the driveway. Walk onto the property & you’ll see a trellis above you, well maintained tile stairs leading down to a big pool deck, with a pool that is just the right depth, overlooking the most awesome view. You can see pelicans swooping down for fish as the waves gently toss against the rocks below. The sound of the waves is hypnotic (you won’t want to turn on your tv for fear of drowning out nature’s noises). If you need a little tv, they have it all. We stayed in the upstairs unit & it was so perfect. Caron & Dave live year-round in the house on the property. across the way are 2 suites. Caron has made this place so homey, with luxurious touches. The bedroom furniture & teakwood chairs are from the famous Caneel resort where the rich & famous have stayed. The decor is so cute & thoughtful, beach-themed, with high ceilings, a great strong fan, AC will blast if you want, a closet with hangers & drawers, a broom, etc if you have a sand mess, all electronics worked great. They provide dishes, glassware & silverware which was nice for cooking & you have access to the grill as well. We bought a pineapple to grill slices! You can open up all the windows & doors to get a fantastic breeze. The bathroom is a great, big, open space with two sinks & a fun big shower. Lots of thoughtful touches (breakfast your first morning, coffee/tea, water filter (the water was great!), plenty of towels that were soft & smelled good (didn’t smell musty)). The mattress was really comfy (you can tell it’s a new high-end mattress) with really soft sheets that help keep you cool at night if you decide to sleep with doors open. There were hardly any mosquitoes thanks to the constant breeze, but you can screen the whole place in. There are sun blocking/privacy curtains inside & out. The pool deck has great lounge chairs & is the farthest point out towards the sea, & has killer views. The pool is so close to the ocean! You can get up early to watch the sun rise & at night watch the moon rise. Great shell hunting right on their property! This is literally the BEST place we’ve ever stayed. I can’t say enough. SO hope we can go back very soon!
