Dated. The double bed was 2 singles put together, the lift was often broken, only 2/5 for cleanliness. However the staff were very helpful and the hotel is in a fantastic location.

I wentvto have an evening meal . Just one person eating a burger. I ordered fish and cips. 25 mins later not arrived. Asked the bar how long would it be. I was told 10 to 15 mins. I asked for my money and i recieved it. Very disappointed after a long day at work i had to wait so long for a very simple meal to cook. Asked to see the menu and was given a card from behind the bar.

The property was in a central location close to the train station,bars and restaurants. The decor was a little tired but the bathroom and room were clean. The staff helpful when we need an extra blanket and shower gel. Our room was serviced both days we were there with clean towels. It was a little noisy, not sure the window double glazing worked that well. My only main criticism was people were smoking in the rooms and the hallway outside our room stank of cigarettes. I should have complained but I didn't.We would stay again

Stayed here a few years ago due to its central location - it’s right in the town centre and has is own car park (£9 per night fee). sadly the place is getting a bit on the tired side now. Staff were friendly enough if a little inexperienced (IMO), but the building and the rooms could definitely do with a good clean and some decorating. Net curtains in our room were torn,walls were marked and so was the carpet. The other room we booked had food stains on the walls and the ceiling!! Furniture had graffiti carved into it, We also ended up on a floor with an all male ‘party’ group, that were very noisy one of the inebriated guest knocked on our door before falling over in hall, not the hotel’s fault but if this is the type of clientele that are the usual guests I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a family break, also a large pile of empty take away food and beer packaging was left outside their door and was there for too long in my opinion. Wasn’t the happiest for what I paid. When we got to our first room, it had make up on the curtains, the curtain door was off the hook and the main light was not working so it was really dark in the room. We got our second room and the toilet flush wasn’t working (we tried to fix it ourselves as we didn’t want to complain again, although we did let them know when we were leaving) the couch in the room the material was hanging off the seat. Was really unhappy with how much I paid. The only positive I can say is that the bed was very comfy and the staff were very kind.

Room was not that clean, one lift working which didn’t even take 3 people, no eggs for breakfast. Staff were friendly enough but there’s only so much they can do. Parking costs £9 and I didn’t get asked about it so may have got a fine if I didn’t ask….

How do I pay for parking to stay in a hotel and a land that belongs to the hotel? This is unheard! The room we were allocated had a poor cooling/ heating system. When I complained, the receptionist brought a standing fan as replacement. I refused because it will be too noisy and I asked for a change. The receptionist initially refused, I threatened to ask for refund before you opted to give me another room. What a shame.

The owner of the parking is a Parking eye company, which in turn charges a fee for using the parking lot. The rules of this company are highlighted in the parking space as well as in the hotel, and also when booking you could read all the necessary information about that. We are very sorry that you are upset about this, but we cannot resolve this issue.Each hotel room is equipped with air conditioning, and if it wasn't enough for you, the only one thing my colleagues could provide was something alternative or additional, which in turn did they do?In any case, thank you for taking time to leave us a review. We will figure out what exactly happened in your room, but according to this feedback , everything was done according the instructions and the law.We hope to welcome you again in any case, as we try to do everything you ask, and paying for parking is a rule that everyone must follow. Please avoid this awful place !!! I sont think the bathroom floor had ever been cleaned . The "suite " looked like a prison cell .the sofa bed was covered in stains that i wouldnt put a dog on !! Everything looked dirty and worn

Double bed was not, that it was 2 singles with very worn mattresses pushed together of 2 different heights. Breakfast was very unpleasant, only beans were edible. Coffee machines not working, so there was a 'hot' water tank which was barely warm. Room freezing, heater didn't work. Just don't stay here.

Stayed here years ago and it was a brilliant hotel come this time for my birthday and dont know what has happed to the place my room was dirty the carpets was dirty the tv smart features was not working and no heating what so ever through out the hotel or the room and was given a plug in heater when rang reception that was unsafe to keep on over night so woke up freezing cold nose all stuffy wouldnt stay again unless the place had a revamp
