We hadden helaas maar 1 nacht maar de volgende keer blijven we zeker langer. Het hotel is fantastisch gelegen en alles te voet te bereiken. Leuke restaurants en cafe's in de buurt geen gebrek aan gezelligheid. Het ontbijt was ook prima en de late check in is perfect geregeld. Zelf heb ik 9 mnd in Sydney gewoond zo'n 15 jaar geleden en dit gebied was toen nog niet ontwikkeld. Ik vond het leuk te zien wat ze met het gebied hebben gedaan en toch het karakter hebben behouden. Met andere woorden een echte aanrader.

Mariners Court was a good, affordable option in a convenient part of town. The rooms were not fancy but comfortable. We got the train with heavy suitcases - good to know if you do that don’t follow directions that go via Butlers steps. It’s a bit much with heavy cases

Staff was friendly and professional. Located near local restaurants and a quite central (near Hyde Park and 30 min walk to the Sydney Opera House). Complimentary hot breakfast was very good but eggs and meats were oily. Coffee machine and filtered water dispenser were great. Rooms are well priced for the area but felt unsafe at times (think I saw a drug exchange outside the building down the block). Bathroom felt worn and saw small bugs fly out from drains on a couple of days. Cold water took a while to flow in the old fixtures. Bed was comfortable. Small tv had good selection of channels. Fridge, instant coffee, cookies were nice to have. Overall an ok stay.

The property was in a good location. However the property itself could use some updating. Not having the hotel office open in the evening created an unsafe feeling checking in at night. The breakfast is nice and the staff very pleasant. We could keep our luggage in the office with the use of a washroom with a shower. That was a bonus. Good deal for the money!

Pros: walking distance to botanical gardens, opera house, circular quay, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast included - simple but yummy (Toast, eggs, sausages, cereal, cows and soy milk, yoghurt, fruit, coffee) Cons: reception is only open from 9am to 5pm so if you need any assistance you have to ring the manager who to be honest, is a bit hostile and seems to get annoyed if you ring him after hours. I also paid for a family room with a deck but got given a room without a deck. When I questioned the manager he said he actually had upgraded us to a better/newer room without a deck (meaning I had gotten a better deal despite not getting a varanda room) but to be fair, our room did not look new, it looked exactly the same as the room next door WITH a varanda, that we saw open while the housekeepers were cleaning. So I basically feel a bit ripped off by the hotel. Also, when reserving this hotel with Expedia the booking stated “reserve now, pay at the property” however a week before our arrival I got a AU$500 deposit. When I rang to check will I was being charged before my arrival, the manager said it was because it was a busy time in Sydney (during Taylor Swift concert) and they need a deposit to secure the booking. It was ok with us because we already had the money saved for accommodation, but it’s unfair that the hotel stated one thing on Expedia and didn’t honour it when time came.

I loved the location. It was a 25min walk to the opera house, through the botanic gardens. It was a short walk to King's Cross. Woolloomooloo seemed safe and relatively quiet. They are staffed from 9am to 5pm or 6pm so if you need to talk to someone after those hours, no one is available. Our room sometimes felt stuffy after being out all day because it is time-controlled. It stays on for some hours then turns off until you turn it on again. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. The bathroom shower was great. If you are about location, I highly recommend.

Room is run down. Many lights did not work. Difficult to get ready when the room was so dark. We did not get daily housekeeping, just fresh towels when we requested. No dish-soap to clean glasses and mugs in our room so we were unable to utilise the kettle to make hot drinks. Kitchen area was locked so we could not use coffee machine there outside of breakfast hours. Curtains in room are mouldy as is wall/ceiling of shower bathroom. We ran out of toilet paper because our room was not serviced despite us staying for 5 consecutive nights…. Games room has a broken coffee machine with expired milk in fridge and kitchenette in games room has open biscuit packs… does not appear to get regularly cleaned. This resulted in us being out in the city and not in our room much. Finally we were nearly charged an extra night at check in, luckily we noticed before we were charged. Positives: daily breakfast and good coffee from machine in breakfast area. Location was convenient— walkable to opera house and CBD.

The room was clean and comfortable. We did get an upgrade to a family room which gave us more space. Basic cooking facilities and fridge which was a bonus. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was very good.

On our terrace we had rats-they even had pets. We changed rooms, the air remained hot and humid and the fans are only a minor relief.The hotel is old run down -the photos available at Expedia convey a false impression. The reception opens at 9 and closes before 5. It is rather a bachpackers‘ place than a hotel

Saavuttuamme 30.1.2024 kysyimme adaptereita, jotta voisimme ladata omat eurooppalaiset sähkövehkeemme.Ei ollut, eikä respan mukaan ollut tarkoituskaan hankkia. Eli hotelli on tarkoitettu vain australialaisille.Respan vastaavaa ei kiinnostanut asiakkaiden palvelu pätkääkään ja hän oli erittäin tympeä kaikista kyselyistä ja keskittyi vain omiin asioihinsa, näyttöönsä ja puhelimeensa. Hotellissa oli hyönteisiä/torakoita(?) 3-4 laatua, pitkiä ja lyhyitä, jotka lymysivät mikron alla ja muualla Vaimoni oli kauhuissaan. Otin kuvat ja näytin respassa: Respan vastaava nauroi meille ja sanoi, että tähän aikaa Sydneyssa on niitä kaikkialla ja ne "eivät pistä/pure" ihmisiä? Aamiainen oli aika vaatimaton ja henkilökuntaa oli aivan liian vähän, astiat likaisia ja rasvaisia ja sopivia astioita ei ollut tarpeeksi. Vihanneksia ei ollut lainkaan, eikä "kevyitä vaihtoehtoja", puuroista puhumattakaan, leivät pelkkää vehnäpullaa. En suosittele kenellekään.

Well situated
On arrival the staff were friendly and informative. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired but clean. The breakfast was excellent, a buffet of cereal ,fruit yoghurt and full cooked breakfast with an excellent coffee machine. They do say in their details that tea and coffee are available all day in the common area but this was not the case, however, it was provided in the rooms. The surrounding area had great restaurants and bars all within 10 minutes walk but some of them demanded a walk up 101 steps to get there, saying that, we managed them aged 68 and 71. You can walk to the Opera house in 20 minutes through the gardens and the area felt very safe. If we went back to Sydney we would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Feels a little sketchy from the outside at night, especially if (like me) you've never been there and don't know where you are. But come morning I realized that it's got a fantastic location - the Botanical gardens are right there, there's a variety of dining options, and it's near (without being too near) the downtown area. The facility itself a bit retro in its architecture, but solid in construction, with wide hallways, and has been refurbished. Bathrooms (and the rooms in general) were clean, and the morning (Full Australian) breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

The hot shower did not work and the receptionist said a cold shower would be good for us, after much complaining he agreed to refund $30 Australian. We woke in the morning covered in bites. The linen and towels were clean and fresh but the whole hotel had a smell of damp and had obviously seen better days. We were glad we were only there for one night

We arrived from the US at 7am and had to wait until 9:00am for the office to open. They did store out luggage until check-in. There were restaurants within walking distance. The free breakfast was okay but only one coffee maker that you had to wait in line for. Would rather have paid more and stayed closer to Circular Quay.

Praktisch gelegen in der Nähe der City. Schöne Wohngegend - haben alles zu Fuß gemacht. Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es hat an sich an nichts gefehlt. Frühstück war solide, Kaffee lecker, Bett bequem. Außerdem: Waschmaschine und Trockner für Gäste verfügbar.

Clean, safe, predictable accommodations. Planned to stay 2 nights but extended my stay due to cyclone in Cairns. Reception honored my rate for extra days. Daily cleaning staff very friendly and efficient but a bit inconsistent on level of cleaning each day. I would definitely recommend.

朝食がとてもよかったです！ベーコン、ウィンナー、卵、チキンなどのホットミールとパンやシリアル、ヨーグルトやフルーツなどが豊富で毎朝幸せでした。またExpediaで予約したら自動的に部屋をアップグレードしてくれたり、チェックアウト日も夕方5時まで荷物を預かってくれたり、対応も新設でした。

Nice and cheap, close to the city. BUT that’s it, sitting down for the free breakfast and had 2 rats run past us. There are lots of homelessness and drug addicts around the hotel.
