Beware of Uno hotel formally Lido Suites
We have stayed at the Lido Suites a number of times over the years. Un know to us when we arrived on the 11th November 19 that it had been sold and the name change to Uno Hotel and it was under renovated . We arrived about 6pm and the night manager (Gino?) said that they were still accommodating booked guest and showed us to our room, could see that it had been upgraded with new bedding and vinyl flooring, found the floor & kitchenette counter was sticky, asked why, he said the room had recently been sprayed for insects, their was no clothes closet, he said the new one had not been delivered yet. We accepted it. Walked into the bathroom and a number of flies were present, I killed at least 8. so we decided to move rooms . Gino showed us a 2nd room, also could see the renovations, however it was very dark as lights were not working, Gino said they were awaiting for an electrician to fix it . 3rd room with appeared fine except one of the light fixtures was not working (awaiting an electrician). As it was getting late we decided to accept it. Kitchenette cupboard had only a couple of dishes, wewere supplied with more but they were all tired & mismatch, tried the kitchenette sink tap, no water coming out. Looked under the sink & turned on taps, water came out but tap would not turn off. Next morning spoke to Gino about tap, again awaiting Plumber. At this point we contacted Hotels.com and was able to checkout without penalty. Many thanks for the excellent service

Les chambres sont en location alors que l établissement est en plein travaux de rénovation. Pas de propreté de la chambre pendant 3 jours et suite à un rappel de notre part. Pas de climatisation, en cours de réparation. Bref, heureusement que notre séjour était court...

Property is old and dated, smells like a wet cat, there was an old fellow who checked me in, he was later noted taking drugs in a room next to reception. Tvs in rooms don’t work, air conditioners don’t work. Beds are so hard and uncomfortable. There is a lot of traffic noise also internal noise from building and other guest. Shower tap came off so had to get reception to come and change. Was offered a room change at 2am because our shower still had no hot water. I asked Agoda for a full refund, I received this in full. I will never return here again. It’s the old prostitutes quarters, and trust me you can still smell the sex and drugs in the building. Such a waste of my time and money. Terrible staff terrible rooms. Terrible location. Additional fees for parking. Will never be back

部屋は広めで、キッチンも大きく、レンジ付です。古い建物をリフォーム仕立てのような新しい匂いがしました。ただ、そこそこ掃除はしているようですが、拭き掃除はされていません。食器もポットも清潔とは言えず使いませんでした。価格が安い時ならおすすめです。

Manager was helpful and accomodated my late check in plus late check out. Building is tired but sheets and towels etc very clean. My room unfortunately smelt like cigarette smoke so i assume a guest before me had disobeyed the no smoking rules. Overall great value for money and as a female travelling alone I felt comfortable and safe. Way better than a backpackers. The hot water and shower head were great.

Situado en el Red Light District, ojo. Bien comunicado con el centro, muchos locales para comer y hostales de mochileros que relajan el ambiente. El hotel está bastante viejito, pero el personal de las noches es un encanto. Cama cómoda, pero la habitación está mal insonorizada. Para amantes de las experiencias fuertes.

Skitigt, dålig service och knarkare som springer runt inne på hotellet och skriker. Kan vara ett ställe att göra razzia på.

Lido Suites - not that great
The staff member who welcomed me was very nice. The rooms are very basic, however they do have a kitchenette with a fridge, hot water maker and a microwave so that was good. The room had a window, however the view was a brick wall. There was no remote for the TV, I was told it went missing before I got there. When I opened the curtains, the whole rod with curtains came down. When opening the kitchen cabinets, I came to realize I had some company, as there was a little cockroach family ready to greet me. I had asked to arrange an airport transfer. The staff member tried calling but as it was evening already, the company was already off. She would call them the next day, as I was on a full day excursion. When I returned in the evening, another staff member was there who was not aware about anything. She also could not get through and said she would call them first thing in the morning and let me know. I went down to see her in the morning and she told me they do not have a car available for me and the first possibility would only be at 2pm which was too late. I ended up taking an Uber. I should have made arrangements through another place but I counted on the hotel coming through. Unfortunately they didn't. Checkout is at 10am, I could leave my luggage there until it was time to go to the airport. When I returned, a pipe had burst and water was pouring out of the ceiling in the 'lobby'. The location is very good. Close proximity to bars, shops, metro, restaurants.

Forholdene levede ikke op til billederne. Hotellet var gammelt og udtjent - gulvtæppet var slidt og beskidt, gardinerne kunne ikke trækkes fra. Elevatoren var defekt og to gange observerede vi kakerlakker på værelset.

Convenient but shabby!
Short walk from station which is good as the area is not the best! My room was comfortable but a bit shabby. Tatty curtain, bedside lamp not working, the shower tap fell off. It needs a refurbishment to make it more welcoming. However, the staff are very friendly and informative and it is only a couple of stops from Central.

The worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of being in so bad we didn't even stay spent another 800 dollars to get another hotel . Misadvertised by Expedia on the website certainly were not the same photos of the hotel we were in £278 pound wasted Expedia should be embarrassed to advertise this hell hole .

Great location right by kings cross subway.
Hotel.com site said there was airport pick up. There isn’t. Site also shows roof top garden sitting area, none. Elevator was broken when we arrived. Reception helped us carry our bags to the third floor. All staff were very helpful but the advertising of the hotel is wrong.

Check-in staff nice plus helped in finding a car park. As a Travel Agent, this hotel, while in a nice location close to the Kings Cross station, would not be recommended. Booked 2 rooms. Problems with hotel: Lift broken, hotel tilts slightly as the water in the shower flows away from the drain. Bed hard. Musty smell. Definitely not for families as many staying in hotel are bi-sexual.

ottima posizione, metro e locali vicini. stanze confortevoli e comode. personale disponibile e cordiale. una lode a Giovanni addetto al servizio notturno, gentile e disponibile. comodissima la lavatrice e asciugatrice a gettoni all'ultimo piano. se in generale questo albergo fosse rimodernato sarebbe una chicca. unica nota da segnalare : sono da approfondire le pulizie, specie nelle zone alte che risultano essere troppo polverose e poi la pulizia dei condizionatori anche questi pieni di polvere. per il resto buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Very dodgy lift. Goes to the wrong floor and jams between floors. Scary experience. Room was clean enough. Shower screen dangerous as it was very clear glass, could pose a hazard, especially with young or elderly. Hair dryer in bathroom was last tag and tested in 2011 and 2013.

Una mala elección,por una mala información.
Parece mentira que tengan la desfachatez de añadir "suites" al nombre del hotel.Nada más entrar ya se vislumbra que no he hecho una buena elección,pues desde la misma puerta ya se nota la falta de limpieza,la falta de mantenimiento,la recepción es una simple habitación con una puerta,el ascensor viejo y sucio,la habitación con el aire acondicionado que no funciona (a pesar de decirlo en recepción y estar alojado 2 noches,no hicieron nada para intentar arreglarlo),el baño también viejo con falta de equipamiento (no tiene repisas para poner las cosas de aseo personal,faltan toalleros),etc.etc.etc.

Great location - really close to the train station and bus stops, plenty of bars and shops around. A very nice place to stay in - rooms were okay, laundry room available, wifi good enough for day to day browsing, dryer, kettle, fridge, cups, bowls, plates and cutlery available in the room. Would stay in the place again.

A hotel placed at the heart of the city. Very convenient to get to the trains, you can never get lost if you’re visiting Sydney for the first time. Many restaurants surrounding it. Rooms are clean and well equipped.

We came for a week of Bob Dylan
Came to Sydney for 6 nights and 4 Bob Dylan concerts.We had stayed at Lido Suitesbefore and it is great value for money. We had a Diva Suite. Was at back and dark without lights on but quiet. Had all we needed except a toaster! Having a kitchenette is great to save some money as well. Everything you need is close by and only a few meters away. Coles and the train station 5 mins away. Clean and friendly staff..night manager was helpful to stop noisy people upstairs whose kids were jumping around after 10pm..it stopped immediately and we could sleep.Easy to get around on public transport from Kings Cross . We went to Wollongong and Newcastle but came back to Lido each night Budget accom but clean and bed is comfortable too!

Online booking confirmation was not sent.
No issue with the room. We tried to check in and was told that we did not have a booking. I showed Giovanni my reservation confirmation email, but he did not believe me. I then showed him by bank statement to show that money had been transferred and that I had paid for the room. I don't mind administration error's but don't fell a guest should be treated with shortness/rudeness by the staff. He later apologies but did ruin the overall experience.

The room itself was nice, unfortunately the bathroom had unpleasant stale smell. In general it was clean. The curtains did an amazing job of blocking out lights. And amazingly the sound from kings cross was barely audible from our room. Overall a good place.

The room was clean and tidy and there was plenty of hot water. However the lift was not operational for the 6 days we were there and there is only one pillow and a cushion on each bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price I would return to this hotel.
