'My house got the house to celebrate my 66th birthday. He invited our daughter & her yorkie poodle, 2 of my best friends with their husbands. The guys went fishing but just spent time at the lake, the boaters were out in the water so it wasn’t a good time to fish from the docks.'

'Very clean and furnished with EVERYTHING you might need. Single lane road proved challenging on one occasion when we came head to head with 2 other vehicles and a ditch on each side. Driveway near by enabled us to pull over a little…but not too far as backing down the driveway would be difficult. Driveway to our house was steep but much better. Good shopping and eating in town plus easy drive to Waynesville and Cherokee.'

'The property was just as pictured…very pretty interior of home and well appointed. We appreciated the beautiful hardwood and tile floors as opposed to carpet.And the bonus was the large screened-in porch overlooking the woods!'

'Came down with five men for a bachelor trip. The Cherokee casino was only 15 mins away. Bryson city was only 15 mins away. Driveway can be a bit challenging first time in. Recommend to pull up past driveway and back in. It’s a sharp left turn into driveway. This was the best, most well thought out, rental I’ve ever had. The Walks really made this place with comfort in mind. Everything is labeled to help out. Nothing worse than figuring out which switches go to lights. Had everything you needed,...

'Property was as described. Host was able to be contacted for any issues that arose. The hosts also graciously provide k-cup coffee and kindling for the riverside fire pit. The area is nicely remote enough to be quiet but close enough that a 20 min ride gets you most anything you’d need. One word of advice is that if you plan on a having a fire over a few nights time then it might be better to bring your own wood or ask the host for a contact for wood delivery. 'Central location to event we were vendors with. GPS took me to the backside of house so it took me an extra trip around to find the driveway. Comfortable home. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the lovely deck, it looked very inviting. I did use the grill it was perfect for what I needed. We will consider staying for future events.'

'This is place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s just far enough for you to get the true mountain experience but close enough to the essentials. The place was exactly as advertised and the hot tub was amazing!'

'This mountain home was perfect for our girls weekend in Highlands! There was a twin bed pictured in the listing, that was not there when we arrived, but we worked it out. There was dust/cobwebs in some areas, and trash left on the beams in the living room, but overall it was clean and felt very safe. The kitchen was a little small, depending on the size of your party, but this was a perfect place to stay if you are planning to be out and about. Downtown was only a 5 minute drive!'

'It is an amazing place, lovely and surrounded by nature, while you still are in a village. Every night we saw an Elk passing by and that was awesome. The house offers everything you need and the decoration is done with a good eye for detail and comfort. The owner Norma is very helpful, we didn't meet but had goof contact via mail.'

'The driveway was an adventure, steep but you've just gotta commit and go for it!! All wheel drive vehicles did best but front wheel drive did fine. Everyone in the group absolutely loved the house and talked about going back!! The porch was the best for spending time together and enjoying the view. Plenty of room for a large group not to feel cramped.'
