'This was an amazing place! The grounds were beautiful and the room was spacious and comfortable. We had a concert experience on the beautiful green space. 'The hotel was ok, the staff was friendly, but the town of Johnson City was not welcoming to visitors. We went to a local bar in town and they would not serve us. All of the residential streets were blocked with residents only signs. I will not be returning to Johnson City EVER. If i were you, find somewhere else to go.'

'I booked our stay at Monarc Ranch for the April 8 eclipse, when we had a problem with our previous booking. We stayed for 2 nights for a family of 4 (including our 5 and 3 year old boys). Despite the cloudy weather affecting our eclipse viewing, everything about the lodging was outstanding. 'The house was secluded enough to be relaxing and peaceful but close to Fredericksburg’s main attractions. It could have used a bit more tidying before our arrival. There was food from the previous tenant left in the fridge and dead crickets in one of the rooms along with a dead scorpion behind the door. 'The bed was terrible. You couldn’t make a move without noises and it was so uncomfortable. We were locked out of the gate, and had to be told we have to walk around to another one. The bathroom sick is clogged and takes forever to drain The lights in the bathroom don’t work at all. We were harnessed about signing a release for damages we didn’t know we needed to sign before we arrived. (I’ve never had to sign a release form renting thru Travelocity)'
