A nice home away from home!
It was me and 5 of my friends that occupied the property for a nice getaway to go hiking. Everyone enjoyed themselves and felt comfortable. Fully furnished, nice a clean with all the cooking supplies, entertainment you could think of.

Perfect Stay!
Wonderful stay! The grounds where we stayed were the perfect location and very safe, family friendly. The home itself was clean, cutely decorated, and had everything we needed. Joanna was very quick to respond to any questions I had. She even let us have an earlier check-in so we could hit the ground running at Starved Rock! We would definitely stay again! No need to look anywhere else, stay here!

Great Fall Getaway

Very comfortable and homey!
This place was just as described and the location was perfect. Being near the big resort, we were able to play at the water park, playground on site and had a round of mini golf. The location was super close to Starved Rock. The townhouse was very roomy, very clean and well stocked kitchen and bedrooms were very comfortable. If we come back to this area, I would have no hesitation to staying here again! Joanna was also very responsive to questions and inquiries!

I had an issue, not realizing that my payment was in two parts, and the issue was that I had to check in several times, unaware that I had a payment due. This is a must stay!!!!!
We loved our cozy stay at this Utica hideaway! The amenities were perfect and everyone loved huddling around the oversized table for yummy meals made in the state of the art kitchen and game night once we cleaned. My only complaint is we didn’t stay long enough! We hope to return annually. Loved this location

An absolute gem of a stay
Pictures do not do this stay justice! Wonderful location (literally a five minute drive to the visitor center), great amenities, and very cozy for how large the entire villa was! Communication with the owner of the property was very easy and she responded very quickly! 100% would stay here again. The only disappointing thing is my vacation wasn't longer!

Weekend getaway
Rented this villa for a weekend getaway to starved rock. We had 5 adults and a 2 and 3 year old. The villa offered the right amount of space and amenities for our needs (kitchen, multiple bathrooms and bedrooms, even a washer and dryer). The location is close to the park as well as the Bear Lodge where they have a n outdoor bar/restaurant and an indoor cafe. We loved our stay!

Starved Rock getaway
My husband and I had a nice three night stay in the Starved Rock area. It's only a 2 hour drive for us and there is plenty of hiking and horses to ride. We stayed in this nice 2BR, 2Bath townhome located behind the Grand Bear resort. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location was near two awesome state parks and we visited Utica, Ottawa, and Lasalle to eat. All cute towns.

Second stay here!
This was a return visit to the area and this location is close to all the awesome parks and hiking trails. A little trouble with the lock system but that was resolved quickly. The dishwasher was wonky but functioned, the beds were super comfy and there was plenty of space for us to gather and play games in the evening.

A wonderful respite
What a hidden gem! We can’t believe these lovely rustic cozy condos are so close to Starved Rock! We had a truly relaxing time, near beautiful nature, and enjoying togetherness, the nearby shops and sightseeing, and the kids playing recreational games in the big field right outside! We recommend getting the walkthrough directions your first time directly via phone call, but once you do that, driving back behind the Lodge and around the bends to the site is a breeze.

Great townhome near Starved Rock
This is a spacious townhome with beds for 6 with a large well stocked kitchen, an open living area and large bedrooms. It is showing some signs of age but overall a very nice place to stage a Starved Rock / Mathiessen vacation. I would definitely return. Check in was seamless and communication was excellent

Great Stay!
My wife, and two small children (5 & 4) stayed a long weekend to hike around the trails. The place was great! My two kids had plenty of space to sleep and play. The kitchen was great for food we brought (we cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner just fine). The fireplace was a nice touch to stay warm while we put puzzles together and played Monopoly. Very nice townhouse just down the road from Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. Kitchen counter is very big and great for cooking. Property also has large dinning table and two large bedrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Great accommodations!
We stayed here for a family wedding at Starved Rock Lodge. The unit was very clean and roomy for my hubby, me and two teenage kids. We had a few extended family members over for dinner and breakfast and all agreed it was GREAT! (They were quite jealous as they were staying in much smaller accommodations elsewhere). We had everything we needed and our teens enjoyed having their own space, too. Five stars for sure!!
