I’ll first list to good points. The property was in a great location. Walking distance to the village was great. The complex was nice and clean. The porch was lovely and it overlooked the river and up onto the slopes. The bathrooms seemed to be updated nicely too.
Now for the downsides. The place smelled terribly of stale smoke. It being advertised as a non-smoking room I didn’t think this was going to be an issue, but it was bad. The bedrooms blinds were stuck up. Luckily there were some curtains I could pull closed to help with privacy. The bed itself was very uncomfortable and the smoke alarm in the room was flashing a bright green light I could see with my eyes closed. It made it so hard to sleep I ended up sleeping on the couch. The couch was also uncomfortable. It really needs to be replaced. The middle part is so sunken down that you slide off the couch or into the middle if you try and sit on the end. The kitchen was pretty well appointed with plates, glassware etc, but small things like filters for the coffee pot or salt would actually be nice to have. I also feel if you give bar soap for hand soap, please provide a soap dish. Otherwise it just slides around on the countertop.
All in all I’d say it was ok. The location was nice, but I would be willing to spend more for a better comfort.
