Goeie locatie als uitvalsbasis vr citytrip
Jammer dat er geen lift is (4 verdiepingen). Kleine, mr charmante kamers met airco. Ok ontbijtbuffet. Proper! Zeer goed, haute cuisine, prijzig restaurant met Venetiaanse gerechten vlak onder het hotel!

Perfect Location
I really reccomend this hotel, its near by everthing! If we needed a break the hotel is near to everything. Very nice staff at the hotel especially the receptionist who checked us in when we came. Also the breakfast was very nice and the ladies from the breakfast were very kind. Just sometimes when we were at our room the housekeeping came in when we were there but it was no problem. Me and my friend really enjoyed our stay, we hoped for a room near the water but unfortunatly they were not available, the rooms were kind off small but just for 4 day it was ok! :) thanks for everything hotel Antica al gambero!! Greetss

Mooie kamer in klassieke stijl. Goed ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Een kamer met zicht op de rivier is aan te raden. Ideaal voor een verblijf van 2 of 3 nachten als koppel.

Super locatie! Heel vriendelijk personeel, helpen je met alle vragen en leggen alles tot in de puntjes uit. Er is geen lift maar het personeel deed de koffers tot aan de kamer en gaf uitleg. Echt super. Er was koffie, thee, koekjes en een minibar op de kamer. Het ontbijt was proper verzorgd en bij aankomst kwam het personeel vragen wat je wilde drinken. Zeker een aanrader! Als ik terug ga zal het zeker terug in dit hotel zijn.

Very clean hotel and friendly staff , breakfast is simple but satisfactory especially in the morning when you do not want to look for anything outside - typical Italian breakfast. We stayed in economy room but all amenities were really good and Iā€™m good condition. Room got cleaned daily and to excellent standard!!!! Free refreshments like tea , coffee and biscuits , and also good choice of drinks in the fridge with very reasonable prices compared if you want to buy it outside. The property is in the small canal with the bridge immediately to it - very beautiful location- close to everything! We were very pleased with this property and would definitely stay again .

Such a beautiful small hotel in the center of everything. It was very classic Italian style which is what I wanted for my experience the first time in Venice, and it was very close to everything. Recommended for couples!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero in Venice! The place was quaint and we enjoyed the large windows looking out over the canals. The Breakfast was well-stocked with lots of options for ever taste! The staff were kind. The place was warm and friendly.

Nice quite location far away from the hustle and bustle but still 5 minutes from rialto and st marks. My inky complaint is only heating was available and it was 75 degrees outside, had to crack a window and woke up covered in mosquito bites.

Average, at best.
Great location, and mostly average hotel. Rooms were pretty small, but maybe thatā€™s expected in Venice? The hotel seemed quite old and dated. For example, manual keys are still used, and there is no elevator. The a/c didnā€™t work. Which wasnā€™t a huge deal, as its October and not too hot in Venice. But these were tight stuffy rooms, so we slept with the window open and we ended up with quite a few mosquitoes in the room šŸ˜ž. Not what Iā€™d expect for the price but again, location is great. Staff was friendly and helped with booking water taxis and giving directions.

Absolutely recommend. The good service began already before arrival. I had few questions to the rooms which was answered within an hour. As soon as our reservation whent through, we received a map, an overview of our transport options from the airport (much appreciated) and an overview of events to take place in Venice during our stay. The location is very central but still not noisy during the night. Just 2 minutes walk from St. Marks Square and 3 min. walk from Rialto bridge. The staff was very kind and helpful. They helped us with every question. Our room was big, clean and very comfortable. The interior was new. We had a very cozy little corner with desk, snacks and a fridge. We even had a little ironing board, which we appreciated. Our bathroom was big, clean and had a bathtub. We had all toiletries we could need. Our best memory is having these big windows with shutters opening to a view to the canal and bridge.

This is a nice old hotel. We had a very nice and quiet room. We were on the fourth floor and there is no lift so there are stairs to climb. A ported carried our bags up. There is a very nice terrace on the roof.
