Locatie ok, maar zeker niet Top! In een klein steegje. Maar ruim 10m van de bezienswaardigheden af. Over het hotel Het is eren soort Airbn ofo. 10 kamers. Klein, warm, geen airco, oude zooi, voor Nederlandse begrippen; echt amateuristisch. Niet schoon! Elke avond lekgeprikt ondanks het raam gewoon dicht was! En een gebroken rug. Bed had een kom, en aangezien ik thuis een kaarsrecht hard matras heb was dit echt een smet op de vakantie. Omdat je de hele vakantie, in ons geval stedentrip van 5dg bezig was met straatjes, steegjes, waterbus op- en af-, brug op- en af etc is ā€˜goede nachtrustā€™ toch echt een mustā€™ Een oplader, en die heb ik helaas op deze accommodatie niet gehad. Leek net alsof er bedswanzen waren, want ik ook nog eens, overmatig last; van over jeuk, uitslag. OnhygiĆ«nisch gewoon! Raad dit dus niet aan. Prima, naar verhouding, maar gezien de recensies op diverse sites waaronder deze, Tripadviser, Booking etc zeker geen 8 of 9 waard!

Afterwards I can only reply to your comment. I can just say that we had just finally reopened after long lockdown period reorganizing HĆ“tel with new rules and new motivation in new world. We try our best to serve you and make your stay the best enjoyable stay! New comfy orthopedic mattresses, nice fresh rooms, fans, clean rooms disinfected with ozone machine, all we can do as a little 1 star HĆ“tel family owned. Thank you for coming! Cheers

Ondanks dat we ruim van tevoren het hotel hebben gemaild met de vraag of we rond 22:00 konden inchecken (en daar een bevestigend antwoord op hebben ontvangen), was er niemand aanwezig toen we aankwamen. Na een half uur aan- en opgebeld te hebben zonder resultaat, hebben we moeten besluiten de eerste nacht in een hotel waar wƩl iemand aanwezig was door te brengen. Overigens bleek dit andere hotel achteraf veel beter te zijn voor een slechts marginaal hogere prijs. De volgende ochtend kon er nog wel een excuus vanaf, maar dat was doorspekt met opmerkingen over een receptionist die dan wel even naar het toilet zou zijn geweest (een half uur???) en vermeende problemen met de telefoonlijn (ging gewoon over...). Verder, ondanks de vergelijking die we nu hadden met het andere hotel, toch een prettig verblijf gehad, tot de laatste ochtend. Het bleek namelijk dat de handdoeken niet vernieuwd waren. Toen we netjes om nieuwe handdoeken vroegen, werd ons op tamelijk onvriendelijke wijze kenbaar gemaakt dat deze slechts eens per drie dagen vernieuwd werden, en dat we 5 euro per dag moesten betalen om dagelijks gewassen exemplaren te ontvangen. Toen we vol verbazing stamelden dat het in ieder hotel normaal is om dagelijks nieuwe handdoeken te krijgen, werd daar niet op in gegaan, en kregen we alsnog geen nieuwe. Zeer vreemd; de dagen ervoor waren ze namelijk wƩl dagelijks vernieuwd! En nu konden we ons afdrogen met handdoeken die op de grond hadden gelegen... Al met al geen aanrader.

This is not a Hotel, this is a hoStel. The facilities were incompatible for a family with a baby. There was no one to give information or do the check-in. The phone was incorrect on Expedia. We took a long and valuable time trying to contact someone. We had to book another property (a real hotel) on the last minute. We asked for the cancellation of the hoStel booking and to be refunded. However, the person we could contact on the phone just ignored us. We lost a lot of money time. This was not cheap. I want my money back!

We got a 2 twin bedroom apt. w/ 1 bath. It was beautiful. Had some cracks here and there but that is to be expected since the island is mud and shifts. Beds comfortable, hot water to last 4 ladies. Kitchen equipped. There is a waterbus transport stop down the walkway so it makes it conveniant to get around by public boat transport. Resteraunts and stores close by. Safe area as well. FYI Any hotel you check into in Italy needs your passport info asap. If they dont document you are in the country they can shut down the hotel for 15 days.

Great location, only about a 3-5 minute walk from the Sant Angelo water taxi stop. A lot of up and down stairs, but the short walk made up for it. Great little location and quaint little hotel. Get ready to climb stairs! If you brought a ton of luggage, this may be difficult. The full room was perfect size just for 1-2 people with minimal luggage, very clean. Love the neighborhood! 5-15 minute walk everywhere you need, or just hop on the water taxi. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend. Only thing I wish they had was a bottle of water or two for the room, and/or a little snack for breakfast.

We loved staying at Hotel San Samuele. The directions on how to get to the hotel from the airport was very clear. The instructions on how to enter the hotel and access the room was also very clear. The room was very clean and the view outside our window was truly charming.

Lovely, well-placed Venetian apartment.
Lovely, well-placed Venetian apartment that is great as a base for all the sights of Venice. Be aware that it is not a hotel as such and there is no reception or other hotel facilities. It is in essence self catering but as a single dad worked well as a two bed apartment with my daughter.

Very nice place, very clean and well looked after. You can tell that the owner takes care of it very well. The owner is a wonderful lady she helped me with directions and we talked about her collection of vintage furniture which she chose to decorate her hotel with. Would stay again.

Excellent rapport qualitĆ©-prix hors saison (dĆ©cembre). Service impeccable et affable. Plusieurs renseignements donnĆ©s pour visiter Venise et petite carte de la ville trĆØs utile. Petit mĆ©nage fait Ć  chaque jour et pyjama pliĆ© sur l'oreiller ! La cuisine n'est malheureusement pas toujours accessible car au mĆŖme endroit que l'office et donc barrĆ©e Ć  partir de 13h. Endroit calme mais on peut entendre un peu les voisins car les murs sont "minces". Un peu frais dans la chambre mĆŖme avec le chauffage au maximum et la poignĆ©e de porte devrait ĆŖtre changĆ©e pour plus de sĆ»retĆ© (il y avait un jeu...). Matelas et oreiller de qualitĆ© moyenne, un peu froid en hiver...

Lovely stay, good wifi
We stayed for two nights at Hotel San Samuele in June 2021 and had a great time. The location is perfect, in a quiet area but close to everything. Wifi worked really well in our room (which doesnā€™t often happen in Venice) and the host Judith was super friendly. The (self) check-in was convenient and we loved that it didnā€™t matter that we arrived a bit later at night. The building is also lovely!

Booked this hotel for my parents as part of a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, our timing as off due to high tide o er Venice. However, having called the hotel prior to arrival I was assured that everything was under control and handled.My parents were delighted with their stay. For such a low-rates hotel, they were amazed by the quality of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the great location. Definitely recommending this hotel for a city break in Venice and it would be my first choice once I myself go to Venice.

Yes indeed high water was a problem but it is only the time of an exceptionnal high tide that happened last time in 1966! The full moon and the very strong scirocco winds create this incredible event. you lived a quite extraordinary event but there is no risk. It can happen in November. Now the streets are dry again and the city clean with shops, retaurants , supermarkets open. We look forward to seing you and your Parents again and please let everyone know that Venice is dry now! Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Es wƤre auch kein Problem gewesen nach 18:00 Uhr einzuchecken, dann hƤtten wir einfach den Code fĆ¼r die HaustĆ¼r bekommen und unsere ZimmerschlĆ¼ssel wƤren hinterlegt worden. Auch sehr praktisch, dass wir immer gratis Wasser aus dem KĆ¼hlschrank, Tee und Kaffee holen durften. Der schiefe Boden in unserem Zimmer hat uns immer zum Lachen gebracht. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und auch die Lage ist hervorragend - zu FuƟ braucht man gleich lange zum Markusplatz sowie zur RialtobrĆ¼cke und viele nette LokalitƤten sind in unnahbarer NƤhe.

Just an explanation.... the floor of our hotel is very very old but well hold!.... and it is an original Venitian marble floor.... Venice is built on wooden pillars over the Lagoon costantly exposed to the tide movement.. uneven floor is tipycal of Venitian buldings...
