Another wonderful holiday
Our stay was wonderful. The house is cozy and big. There was room for everyone to play a game, eat, enjoy the view(there were otters on the harbor), and cook. We worried that there was no snow, but ice fishing was good and we could ice skate on the lake. Thank you for a grand time!

Fantastic for a family or a group
We loved our week at this property in August. The home was spacious and accommodated our group of adults and 2 toddlers well. We chose this listing because of the number of bedrooms, the beautiful yard, and the location on Leech Lake. We were blown away by the amount of comfortable living and storage space in the house (the pictures do not showcase how much space there actually is!) The playground was perfect for our kids. The proximity to Walker was great for quick trips into town. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us, we would definitely stay here again in any season!

Great family vacation
We had 2 families with 5 total children and this house had so much room! It’s bigger inside than the pictures do it justice. The living room space and the laundry were huge. Boys got some sunfish off the dock and we got some walleyes out on the lake and had a big fish fry! The walking path so close was great for mornings walks.

Great place for a family vacation
Our second time staying here. Once again a great weekend with our family. Really enjoyed the house and the lake. Campfires by the shore. Our grandsons enjoyed fishing from the dock. Lots of sunfish, a few bass and croppies even a couple northerns.

Beautiful and very comfortable
This VRBO is a wonderful home and has a gorgeous lawn, lake view, and fire pit, as well as a play structure and swings for the littles. There is lake access through a dock with two boat slips. The inside has lots of space for everyone, including an extra living room area which the little kids used as a playroom. The main living room was very nice as well. Both spaces have reclining couches and tv's. We lacked for nothing. Everything you'd need to cook anything was there. Lots of extra paper products and once again, the views and the yard experiences were spectacular.

Golf trip
All 12 of us really enjoyed our stay! Tried out a few nearby golf courses and utilized the huge backyard for yard games/grilling. It was beautiful. Very easy process with the owners, they were great. Would definitely stay again!

Annual summer family trip
We loved this property. The house has a great set up with two living room spaces on the main level that works great for larger groups to spread out. The kitchen is well set up too. The yard is nice and flat making it easy to get down to the lake and back. The star gazing at night is phenomenal. The lake is a bit weedy by the dock but once you go out into the open it’s better for swimming. I would recommend this place for families of all ages. We would rent it again.

Family getaway to Leech Lake
Booked this cabin on a last minute family trip to enjoy Leech lake. The owners were extremely nice and easy to work with. They also provided a number for the nearby resort, that happened to have a pontoon boat available for rent, during our stay. The staff at the resort were very accommodating and a pleasure to meet as well.

All the comforts of home on Leech Lake!
Our second rental vacation here and will be booking again! Clean, comfortable, spacious, and well supplied home fit all our needs. Large lake level with own dock, wildlife abundant, and beautiful deck space to enjoy the view! Owners super to work with and replied quickly to any questions we had. Can't wait to be back!

Awesome large lake home.
Overall our stay was great. As a Christmas gift to our kids and grandkids we booked this weekend stay for the whole family. Seven adults and 3 kids (boys 7,8 & 9). Plenty of room for all of us. Large kitchen area to cook and hangout. Great camp fires by the lake. One of the best parts was fishing in the boat lagoon. Off the dock the boys caught Bass, sunnies,crappies and even a very large dogfish. I highly recommend. The only negative was the hot water was very very hot. Be careful if you have children with you. To summarize, great place. Great communication. Easy to get to. Very safe neighborhood.

The cabin was clean and very spacious, the pictures on the site do not do the property justice. Everything worked out great and the cabin is in a great location. Nothing that I would change about the stay, owners were great. Will try to book again next year if we can!

January is a great time in Walker, MN
Our extended family stayed at the vrbo. The house is large and very comfortable. We were able to set up the portable fish house out in front and caught a couple of nice fish. We went cross country skiing on great fresh snow, and snowmobiling on the DNR trail, which is very close. Walker shopping is always a treat.

This property was exactly as advertised and the pictures were very accurate. No surprises. 10min drive to Walker which was great. Large yard. Very spacious kitchen and living room, never felt crowded. AC worked good. Lots of parking space. Owners returned phone calls promptly. Water level was way down because of drought so harbor was a little tricky, but we still docked a 22ft pontoon in there.

Beautiful lake property close to Walker
We loved our first stay at Jon and Lara’s. The house was perfect for our large family group of 10 adults and 2 kids. Tons of space to both come together and separate for time throughout the week. We strongly recommend this house for anyone visiting Walker. Great space at the dock for both a pontoon and fishing boat. And Jon told us about an incredible sandbar that we became obsessed with. Can’t wait to come visit again!

LOVED leech home!
Gave everything a 5+ rating! Owners super to work with! Home wonderfully accommodated 5 couples. Great to sit on deck and watch all the geese, ducks, and wildlife entertainment. Quiet area on Leech with not a lot of water toys disrupting the quiet. Fishing never disappointed. Will definitely look forward to booking again!

This house was perfect for a weekend away with friends! The property is gorgeous and plenty of space for 12 people. The view of the lake was beautiful and it was great to have access to a dock to hook up the boats. The house was very clean and it was much appreciated that there was plenty of wood supplied for bon fires each night. We hope to return to this house again in the future!

Great, Relaxing Vacation
We had a great, relaxing week at Jon and Lara's Leech Lake home....everything was top notch. Jon met us at the home and showed us around and filled us in on everything we needed to know. The property was exactly as described and was well taken care of. We ended up using 4 out of the 5 bedrooms, each having at least one king or queen bed. One 2nd floor bedroom included bunkbeds, which my daughter enjoyed. The kitchen included everything one needed for cooking and the dining table allowed everyone to eat meals together. We also made use of the table and chairs located on the deck facing the lake to eat outside on more than one occasion. We used the gas grill to cook a few meals and Jon had even dropped off a new tank in the event we ran out of propane. My daughter enjoyed the play set with swings and treehouse-type room included. We didn't have to worry about our boat since the property has a dock in the small harbor that we could tie to when not out on the lake fishing. Jon and Lara provided firewood and we took advantage for a few bonfires at night with smores. The property is very close to a walking trail for those wanting to get some exercise and the large flat yard was used for yard games. My in-laws appreciated no steps to get to the lake. We really love the Leech Lake area and it is nice being less than 10 minutes away from Walker in case we needed gas, groceries, a meal out, or shopping at Reed's or the other many shops. Thanks to Jon and Lara for letting us rent their lake home and we look forward to scheduling another week next summer.

Better than the pictures!
We were there together with all our kids and grandkids. The huge yard and play set (swings with play house above) were a hit. It was wonderfully clean and well stocked. It was great to have firewood included there also. We had several lakeside campfires. We caught small fish off the dock. We also rented a pontoon boat from John & Laura. It was very reasonable and they delivered and picked it up. Overall John and Laura were very friendly and accommodating. Their property was obviously well taken care of. We felt at home there and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves.
