This apartment is very comfortable and a good value for the price. If you like to cook, the gas stove is a real plus. Fort Totten Metro Station (Red & Green lines) was an easy 12-minute walk. If you're driving, street parking was readily available in front of the apartment every day I was there. Finally, the owner provided clear instructions and even stocked the apartment with some drinks, snacks, and good coffee!

Great DC option
This was cute little place north of the city. The basement apartment had everything we needed (and more) and the neighborhood was nice and quiet with easy parking on the street right in front of the apartment. The Metro was pretty much a straight 3/4 mile walk from the apartment and very convenient to use. We never touched our car the whole week.

Peaceful stay
This was a perfect space for just me on my short stay.The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. Teri was a great host. I even forgot my wallet and she was so gracious to mail it back to me very quickly. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice get-a-way
This location is not on the beaten path which makes it a great way to go. It is about a 20 minute walk from the Metro and the residents in the neighborhood are all very friendly. The location also allows for walking to many local eateries. If your not in the mood to walk Uber and Uber Eats are both available. The apartment is nice and spacious. There is a lot of information in the apartment to help you find what you are looking for. Get familiar with the Metro system, it will take you anywhere you want to go. The Metro system has stops near many attractions. If visiting the Monuments and Museums, I would recommend doing a Bus Tour first, that way you will get a good idea of the layout of that area. Received great advice from Teri to check out the Wharf. You may even be able to grab lunch in Hells Kitchen and visit the International Spy Museum which was only a few blocks away. Went to a local Farmers Market (totally cool) but needed a large pot to make the pasta, might be a good idea to have a larger pot to cook with. Would definitely stay here again.

About a 15 minute walk to metro which is convenient for going downtown. Small enough for 2 people to stay. I wish the kitchen had a bigger pot and a cookie sheet to use.

Great Property and Value For Money
Great property and value fir your money if you want to stay in Washington DC without breaking the bank. It is a fully furnished basement apartment with living room, bedroom, full bath and full kitchen. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of on-street parking (we parked right in front of the property) any time of day. The neighborhood is within 5-10 minutes walking distance to a variety of neighborhood, family run restaurants. We felt completely safe walking to and from during the day and evening. The apartment is in a basement of a row house built in 1930, and it has lots of old house charm. The living room has TV, a convertible couch/futon, other seating and small writing bar. The bedroom has a queen bed with lots of pillows and bedside tables with USB ports and outlets. The full bath is small but has everything you could ask for plus good water pressure and enough that water for two adults taking 10+ minute showers, back to back. The kitchen has a full size gas stove, microwave, fridge ( stocked with s variety of beverages) and a small two seat table with a variety of snacks. All in all, it was a great stay in a great location and was easy in the wallet. Highly recommended!

My wife and I went to see a concert and decided to stay here again. We went earlier this year and aaa thoroughly happy with our stay. When we came in we were greeted with a sense of familiarity and comfort that comes from a place that makes you feel at home. Just the right fit
We used this nice basement apartment as our base for visiting our kids and grandkids in DC. It was an easy walk to the metro and if we didn't feel like walking we could use Lyft / Uber. The room was comfy and meet our needs. The description was accurate and we were glad we stayed.

Beautiful, charming neighborhood. Walk to the metro was enjoyable. Basement apartment was clean. Noise from upstairs was dusturbing till about 11 pm. However it is a basement. Advertised amenities were not provided as owner was "busy". Check in was at 4 but access to apartment was unavailable till well after 5 as gate was locked. I left 2 unanswered emails and a voicemail. Owner came about 520 to check to see if apartment was cleaned and was surprised I was trying to get in. I gave mostly 4 stars because location was clean, nice neighborhood, convenient and safe.

Lovely Property and Neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay here! The place was really clean and organized. Had a lot of amenities, and the host even provided some drinks and snacks. Neighborhood is very nice and there’s really great shops/food within walking distance. Also very close to metro rail station so easy access to see tourist destinations. Would definitely stay here again when coming back to the town!

Our stay was comfortable for the most part- the apartment was clean, well equipped, cosy, and Teri even provided snacks and drinks for us which we thought was very thoughtful. The walk to the metro station was slightly long especially when the weather is warm, but manageable, and takes one to many places. One thing was that we saw a mouse in the bedroom on one of the nights that seemed to run out of the house through the toilet thereafter- Teri informed us that she would get it checked. Future guests may wish to confirm this with her for a peace of mind.

The apartment is well-maintained and cozy with excellent heating during the winter. It's located in the friendly and safe Brightwood Park neighborhood, so I never had any safety concerns when I was there. Also, Teri is very sweet and was able to quickly resolve any problems that came up. I strongly recommend this apartment.

Really enjoyed our stay. There is a separate entrance so no need to disturb the host. The little guest house has everything one might needed for a shorter and longer stay . i loved how secure the check in/out process was! I was worried for street parking but there was an open spot right in front of the property which was amazing! She had snacks, toiletries, and wifi which made the stay much more pleasant. We had 3 guests stay, two of us shared the bed which was fairly nice, however, the sofa pullout was slightly uncomfortable for our 3rd guest. Other than that it was lovely. we didn't spend too much time in the guesthouse but it was comfy when we were there. I definitely would recommend to others as well as book again with her in the future!
