I wish you had contacted me and i would have been happy to let you know what bus to take from the metro to our house. Also, our listing doesn't list a stove, i am glad you didn't find one in the studio :)

Dear guest, so sorry you were confused over where our house is located! It appears you thought we were right in downtown, but as our listing clearly states, we are in the lovely, residential neighborhood of Petworth (as a side note staying in downtown is 3 times more per night). I wish you had elaborated on what you mean by the pictures don’t reflect reality because what you see in the pictures is exactly what its inside the listing. There is a clothes rack and also hooks, I don’t know why you chose to hang your clothes elsewhere. Pull out couches are not beds, therefore the level of comfort is not going to be the same as a bed - common sense. Our house was built in 1923 by a Lithuanian immigrant turned entrepreneur, who ended up developing the entire neighborhood. We are extremely fortunate to own a piece of history in DC. I must, however, mention that even though the bones of our house are from a while back, we gutted it to the brick and went through an extensive full renovation. Therefore your comment about our home completely baffles me. It’s really unfair to penalize us as hosts by leaving such a negative review, especially since you did not fully read the description and ended up staying outside of your desired location. You did not ask any questions, answered to me checking in with you, or approach me in any way to indicate your are unhappy with the accommodations you had booked. Please be sure to fully read descriptions and engage with your hosts in the future to avoid disappointments on both ends.

We have been hosts for 3 years and are extremely surprised by your review Celia, as our studio description and pictures depict our space exactly as it is. It’s simple, clean, and moreover affordable! Nowhere in our listing does it say we provide paper towel, nor tissues, but had you asked, we would have happily given you those supplies. If you don’t let us know there is a TV problem, we can’t fix it during your stay. We do not have cockroaches in our house, Celia, but you do walk through our stone paved backyard and bugs do live in the grass. As you know, DC is an extremely expensive city, we provide exceptionally clean and reasonably priced accommodations to our guests. Sorry you felt otherwise and wish you had given us an opportunity to make your stay more comfortable by addressing the TV issue and providing the extra supplies you needed.
