"We booked for two nights and stayed a third too. And if time permitted, we would have booked a 4th and a 5th! The location is superb and centrally located in the White Mountains (we hiked the Lonesome Lake trail and the Franconia Ridge trail loop). Randy and Jonathan are perfect hosts, who dealt very well with our coffee addiction and brought us additional cups every morning. Rooms are clean and spacious, with some very good restaurant options nearby (El Charro with a great house Margarita, and the Woodstock Brewery Inn)."

"The hotel is currently being renovated, so the corridor with the elevator is a construction site. Our room had not yet been renovated and made a dated impression. But all necessary facilities were present and working. Nice and helpful staff, especially the cleaners. Of the 5 hotels during our trip through New England, this was the least good."

"The hotel is very, very much overrated by Expedia. The price is much too high for a hotel without a lounge, restaurant and bar. Only once in a three days the bed linen is replaced. The location of the hotel is isolated: there is nothing on walking distance. But most shocking is the amount waste created by a simple breakfast; the hotel successfully prevents any dishwashing. It is far from sustainable!"
