'Onze kamer, nr.6, deed erg benauwd aan (laag plafond, erg groot dressoir in de kamer waar je niets mee kunt). Gedeelde badkamer zeer klein, geen mogelijkheid om je was spullen neer te zetten. Vloer zeer schuin, huis is erg oud. Aan het onbijt wordt veel aandacht gegeven. Je kan opgeven wat je wilt en het wordt vers voor je bereid.'

'We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again.'

'Such a wonderful place. So very clean and cozy. Wonderful people. Unfortunately the bed was far too soft for our liking. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!'

'We were looking for a B&B in the country with wonderful views, good breakfast and close to Whiteface Mountain. We certainly found that in Bark Eater Inn! Each morning we had a wonderful farm to table breakfast prepared by our friendly hosts, Meghan and Wendy, while enjoying wonderful views from any window. 'This could not have been a more wonderful stay. The manor house is beautiful as are the grounds. The deck overlooks the lake with a lovely path that leads to a dock. Breakfast on the deck was simply joyful. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was home cooked with fresh and local ingredients. Bring a bottle of wine with you for an evening taking in the fresh air and lake views. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything their guests will need. This is a must...

'Very nice B&B in a nice spot, very green, close to the lake, woods or you can simply enjoy the beautiful garden. Room was spacious, bath a bit small, very comfy bed, and a very nice host, who cooks great breakfast with organic vegies of his garden. '

'We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun! '

'This home was absolutely lovely, very clean, and spacious. There were little touches like some coffee and tea left out for us. The place was spacious. We were a group of two couples and two teens, and there was enough space so the teens didn’t have to share a room. The view was spectacular of the lake. If we were there in warmer weather, we could have kayaked and enjoyed the fire pit. Would love to visit again.'
