'We quite liked this hotel as it was charming and well thought out in many ways. We especially loved the dinner we had the first night. Our room had a fireplace and we loved that feature because it was a bit chillier than we expected. Whether it was remembering a small detail of one guest such as lactose intolerance or recommendations of things to do in town, the owners were always willing to help in any way they can. '

'Agreed with all comments about the exceptional home made style breakfast. However, the second night there was a group playing guitar and singing. With over 200 years house, this was not welcomed especially after a tiring long ski day. Phoned hotel and also Expedia on that same night but both myself and Expedia could not get hold off host for resolution. 'Beautiful Vermont Inn with exceptional breakfast: changes everyday - we had frittata, fresh fruit, steel cut oats fried with maple syrup and pecans and always muffins or other baked goods. 'The Inn was so warm and comforting that it felt like home. It's beautifully decorated and you have access to the common areas where you can enjoy a game of pool, play piano, play a board game or find a nice book to read. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and plenty of seating. The owner Paul was very welcoming and included local snacks and sodas as well as waters in the room which I thought was a nice touch. 'We stayed in the 8-room converted barn. The room very large and a pleasant surprise featuring a great view, soaking tub in the living area, gas fireplace, and a very comfortable king bed. I would give Windham Hill Inn five stars, but I deducted a star because of a clogged bathroom sink, a difficult to control HVAC system, and live and dead bugs in the room. Although somewhat dated, the room was spectacular for the price. '

'We loved our stay at the chalet. It's perfectly situated in the cutest little neighborhood, while also feeling very secluded. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay. While visiting we walked a few of the trails nearby, part of the Valley Trail and the Hoot, Toot and Whistle. They were both perfect for our pups, especially during hunting season. We gave our pups an extra squeeze in honor of Scarlet. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to stay again!!'

'Our family rated this as our best stay in 7 years of traveling with VRBO properties. There was lots of room for everyone to spread-out, but the family spent most of the time in the game room playing pool, fuzzball, shuffleboard and Ping-Pong. Overall and great spring break for the family and friends.'
