Not clean, hairs everywhere (bed and bathroom). Emplyees very indifferent. No Airconditioning!

De kamer was naar mijn mening erg klein, en de badkamer was aardig versleten. Wel is de temperatuur goed te regelen en is er weinig geluidsoverlast. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, ze spreken aardig Engels. Zeer goede locatie met eigen parkeergarage tegen acceptabele vergoeding. Naast een groot metrostation. Aan te raden dus.

I was charged for taxes when I arrived and I had already paid for it. When I was leaving they wanted me to pay for the breakfast again . Also breakfast is not buffet . It’s bread, coffee and orange juice

hello Mrs.We thank you for choosing the Hotel du Lion for your stay in Paris.We obviously need to provide some answers to your allegations.1- The Tourist Tax is always paid upon your arrival (otherwise you must present us with reimbursement for the costs from EXPEDIA)2- The breakfast served is French continental and is composed of:- coffee, chocolate, milk and different teas of your choice- a piece of French baquette + a pastries of your choice between (croissant, pain au chocolat, pain raisin bread, brioche, apple turnover)3- yogurts of your choice (natural or fruit)4- different types of fruit jam, nutella, honey5- butters (salted or sweet)6- different types of cheese to choose from.Here is breakfast at the Hotel7- a natural fruit juice (orange, apple)Here is the composition of breakfast at the Hotel du Lionand finally you are seated in your place while enjoying the beautiful view of Avenue du Général Leclerc.Best regardsFlorent

Great value and location, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was a typically small Parisian room that is best described as you get what you pay for.

Pictures on Expedia are a bit misleading. It’s not a bad place, but it’s definitely showing a lot more wear and tear than the pictures show. The entrance to the hotel is not attractive at all. There’s trash on the sidewalk outside the doors, and the area is a bit run down. That said, it doesn’t appear to be an unsafe area. We were there 5 days and never ran into issues with anyone. Also on the entrance, you find out the hard way the welcome desk is on the second floor, and there’s no elevator! Making things worse is the stairway to the front desk is very narrow and fairly steep. Lugging a heavy suitcase up the stairs is a real challenge. My wife wouldn’t have been able to do it since she’d just had knee surgery. The front desk staff are very friendly and very helpful. They assisted the person who presented the morning continental-style breakfast, who was incredibly friendly and helpful! She was flawless every morning. She alone made up for the shortcomings I described. All in all it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t stay there again. The entrance and stairs alone are a deal breaker.

Very good access to Metro, cheap, clean room with daily room service. If you are on a budget, you can't go wrong with Hôtel du Lion.

Hotel du Lion is an auberge suitable to access my workplace. A couple of minutes of walking takes us to Gare de Denfert-Rochereau. You can see Rue Daguerre just crossing the road. The room is kept clean every day. Kind and helpful persons are at the desk.
