The amenities at the hotel were adequate. The all inclusive buffet had a great selection but we felt that it could have been varied a bit more as the days went on. We paid for a Jr suite and were moved to a regular room because we found several roaches in our room. Even though it was our choice to be moved, we felt like it was only reasonable to be reimbursed the difference in price for the smaller room, but we weren’t. Also our original room was supposed to be an “Ocean view” but it was a view of the top of the lower building and a concrete barrier that you had to look over. If you’re going to stay here, try to get something higher than the fourth floor at least.

I liked the friendliness of all staff members
I liked the open buffet with so many different choices and the cleanliness of the facility
I would prefer to have the availability of a laundry facility

The staff was great! The pools and the beach is as good or better than most properties I have visited in Cancun. Now the bad. Every full day I was there when I left and returned to my room I had to go back to the front desk and have my key card "reset" definitely not the end of the world, but still, it's an inconvenience. I also was never told that when I got to my room I had to put one of my key cards in a slot in order to activate the electricity in the room. I travel a decent amount and I have never encountered this. Definitely information I should have received at check in. Lastly, the food is not that great and for the the 4 days I was there it never changed. I'm definitely not anywhere close to a picky eater, but this is just not that great. Most places I've visited they at least change the food up, not here. Same food, in the same location(buffets) every day. I will give another Riu location another chance, and this location definitely has a lot of positives, but when I go to an all inclusive the food is key for me.

Absolutely loved my stay at RIU Cancun! The workers are the kindest people I have ever met. Such a gorgeous resort! Can’t wait to be back 100/10!

Amazing is all I can say. Gorgeous hotel and staff always seemed to go abpve and beyond expectations. Best vacation ever and those Riu Parties!
