The walkways, halls, elevators and railings could be better maintained.

This is an older property…built in 1970. It’s apparent that continual upkeep is happening. The elevators were down to one and This hotel has a lot of charm. The view from the room is fantastic. The pool is amazing and the attentiveness of the beach staff is exceptional. The food is very good in the restaurant and the cocktails are on point. The valet service makes parking easy. Ricky was who we saw most often and he was so kind to offer suggestions and tips for navigating the area. Annie checked us in and welcomed us warmly and Gladys was who we talked to when we checked out and all were friendly and helpful at every opportunity. Would definitely stay at The Reach in the future.

Enjoyed tthe beach and pool at the resort and the historical homes were nice to see. But surrounding area was dirty and smelled. Had to go to other side of island (Mallory Square) to fine cleaner outside areas. Will not go back to Key West

I was asked at check in if I would like maid service and I said yes. They never came the first day and then the second day (we were gone from 9:30am to 5pm) they came at 5:30, we were getting ready for the evening and I asked her to come back in an hour she said no. She did ask if I needed anything I said towel and she did give me them. You can only valet your vehicle, we had a car and a golf cart so it was almost $100 a day for both. The place was run down for the money. Definitely needs come cosmetic updates. I did like the restaurant, we had breakfast and lunch and both were very good.
