The grounds of this property were fantastic. The main area indoors were a bit aged.

The rooms are dirty and very old. They have a very bad odor. Smells horrible inside the rooms. The man who helped us at valet was very rude to my 4 year old. Stayed one night from Sunday to Monday the steakhouse was closed which was a huge disappointment. Had dinner at Vue, had reservations at 7pm didn’t get seated until 745. It took another 20 mins before staff came by for drink order and another 30 minutes for food order. Food was horrible sent back two orders of fish because it was underdone. Overall terrible experience from start. Valet man just rude and unprofessional, rooms smelled gross and the food was bad.

Great service, with one exception at our initial seating in the bar where it took too long for our server to acknowledge us and take our order. Amazing team on both shifts for the front desk and Kidtopia. Awesome family pools and water slide options. Delicious food, reasonable value. Cocktails are a bit pricey. Did not get a chance to golf this time, but the course looks to be in great shape.

This property is good but needs some updating. Our room had fogged glass in the French doors to the patio and the doors were in poor shape. I can only assume that most doors on the other rooms are more or less the same.

First time at Omni La Costa; but, not the first time to this area of Carlsbad, Ca. Room decor was up-to-date; but the wing was an older building. Walls between units are thin. Still had a solid nights sleep each night. You will be charged $40-60/night for parking on the property. Street parking is scarce and discouraged. I don’t like this practice. Parking should be included.

Service staff was excellent and attentive and enthusiastic. Room was nice, but being given a room overlooking the parking lot when the resort appeared largely empty was a minus. Would definitely return when there’s hopefully better weather!
