Gunstige locatie

Voordelen: De locatie was gunstig en de kamer redelijk ruim.
Nadelen: De communicatie vooraf had beter gekund/ gemoeten. Als iets niet aanwezig is, meld dat dan, zodat de klant desgewenst een andere keus kan maken.
Locatie: Je zit dicht bij Hollywood Boulevard/ Rodeo Drive.
We hadden gevraagd om een rustige kamer met twee bedden op de hoogste verdieping, maar bij aankomst werd ons verteld dat op de bovenste verdieping alleen kamers waren met één tweepersoonsbed. De kamer die we kregen was direct achter de receptie - waarvan we de muziek konden horen - en de trap naar de bovenverdieping. Pal vóór het gedeeltelijk ondoorzichtige raam stond een restauranttafel, die ons overigens minder hinder heeft bezorgd dan gevreesd, maar dat was geen verdienste van het hotelpersoneel.

This is a good place to stay for a couple of nights. If it's longer it may not be as comfy. There's no closet so no drawers to put your personal items (just a wicker basket). It's not sound proof (a neighbor was playing loud music late, but I called front desk and they dealt with it immediately which was great response). Sorry, if you want to party, this is LA, find yourself a bar or club. I liked the balcony, although not much of a view I enjoyed sitting outside in the morning or being able to open the sliding glass door to get fresh air in. it's facing a quiet street. The room was hot (and I usually don't turn the air con down). I can't imagine anybody who likes cold rooms to be comfortable. Their unit controls a few rooms at a time so they only just barely turned it on for a little bit then off again. I was in there in January so I was ok but it was uncomfortably hot at times. The free morning coffee is unpredictable. I don't think they offer it on the weekend for some strange reason. It is a very pretty hotel, I loved the lobby and the special details in the room. The restaurant downstairs offers delicious breakfasts, it's convenient for a bite before heading out.

The entire building is controlled on one thermostat run. There is no way to control the temperature of your room. If someone calls the front desk and says it is cold, the entire building is blasted with heat, and vice versa. While there are multiple lights in the room, there are huge swaths of the room that get no light, making them very hard to see in. The restaurant attached changes its hours and its offering with no warning.
