Clean, simple, but definitely not fancy.

My wife and I needed an overnight accommodation for our visit to the Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles airport. (The museum is definitely worth the trip, by the way.) We've lived in and traveled through many places in the world so we're fairly flexible in our hotel requirements. We decided to take a chance on the Suburban Extended Stay. Now, if you're looking for a Hilton HHonors property with all the fixin's, this ain't it. It's really set up for, say, workers away from home for extended periods, just like the name implies. It was scrubbed clean (a bit of an antiseptic odor at first), had a full 18 cu ft fridge, two burner stovetop, microwave, dishes, pot and pan, utensils, and basic eating ware. The shower room (walk-in shower, not a tub) had an ironing board and iron. TV was cable and clear. Internet was free and fast. The bed was firm but not bad. (I'm a side-sleeper so I don't like hard.) Pillows were hard. Not there: complimentary anything except soap. No snacks, toiletries, or chocolates on your pillow. No free coffee or breakfast. My wife did need a hair dryer and was able to borrow one from the front desk. There were vending machines. There are washers and dryers. Check-in and out were fast and courteous.
