Geplaatst op 7 okt. 2019 op HotelsNice Hotel, good size room. Front desk staff were pleasant. Our room was down by the lake, which had a nice view, and it was quiet. Bed was comfy, pillows were too soft for our liking (no neck support and we both have neck/back issues). Bathroom window was wide open upon arrival, so room was a bit cool (temps were in the mid 30's upon arrival). Heated up quickly once we figured out which button controlled the heat. Overall, a good experience, the issues were simple enough and easily remedied. Good value for the money.

The first room they gave us had no heat, it was 42 degrees at 6 pm; the outside door had a quarter inch gap allowing cold air to flow into the room. The second room had a cockroach in the bathroom. The hairdryer shut off after 1 minute. When we returned to the room after being gone all day the towels had been collected but the bed was not made and I’m not sure they cleaned the bathroom. I will never stay here again and definitely will not recommend to anyone.

Geplaatst op 1 okt. 2019 op HotelsHotel was FILTHY - no maid service as she does her rounds @7:30 AM & yes we had a DND sign on door (Do Not Disturb) only positive thing I can say about this DUMP is that Just who worked the front desk was lovely.
Place needs either to be torn down or burnt down
Carpets are BLACK - baseboards covered in 3” of dust, tub was rust stained and bedding/towels had seen MUCH BETTER DAYS - only reason we stayed here as EVERYTHING else was SOLD OUT & the ones not sold out were TRIPLE THE RATE as it was SUNY Oneonta’s Parent weekend.

Nice lake setting. Pretty grounds, except for the dilapidated tennis court. Employee Judy is very sweet and helpful. Breakfast is fine. Bed comfortable. Quiet. Everything else about this hotel is a disaster. Filthy room - smoke smell, hair in sheets & on bathroom floor. Soap scum. Cobwebs. Dead spiders and other bugs. Stains on carpet, bed spread, pillow cases, blankets. Broken lamps. Coffee maker, but no cups. Clearly the room was not serviced for arrival. Manager has terrible communication skills. Stayed here only because there was literally no other place with availability, as it was the local college’s Parents Weekend.

Beautiful lakefront. The dishes were dirty and the towel rack was shoddy, but overall for a couple of nights stay for a wedding, we had a great time. There are some cute horses near the property that really made our day to interact with. Coming from the boroughs, we dont see too many horses so that was the best part. The staff is sweet and kind.

We liked the location on lake and closeness to downtown Oneonta. Staff was friendly and welcoming. This is a basic motel, but that's what we were looking for. Price was good, and the facilities were worth the price.

The location is good right on 28 off the highway, but the room was gross, the tv didn't work, the rugs and walls were dirty, many of the receptacles were switched, so ever time someone thought they were turning the lights on the clock would reset and the AC would go off. They fixed the tv, but then it wouldn't come on the next morning. I don't know why they put us on the road side since the place was empty, but the road was super loud ALL night long. The breakfast was DAYS old, and pitiful. We will visit Cooperstown again, but will not stay here again.
