'Very nice room - clean and neat. '

'Although the hotel provides breakfast, only very few things are provided (Apple, coffee, Tea and Nature Valley crunch). The water is complimentary in the breakfast but only when you ask for it. No cleaning during stay and the hotel facilities are old. The only good points are the location and the staff are friendly. '

'Nicely rennovated. The beds look great but are not that comfortable . . . hard lumpy mattresses. There is only one desk chair so nowhere for two people to sit. Served a nothing breakfast in limited space for this size hotel when it has lots of guests. Our room outdoor space was on the busy street with traffic noise. Convenient location next to shopping mall, Dennis Menance Park, historic downtown Monterey and close to Cannery Row.'

'We really enjoy this hotel - away from the hustle/ bustle of the Fishermen’s Wharf - yet walkable to all the touristy spots. Rooms were upgraded/ quiet. Service was great and friendly. '

'Lovely oceanside hotel in a quiet and convenient location just 5 mins from Cannery Row and Downtown (on foot). Great array of coffee shops and restaurants nearby and parking on site (extra). Staff at the hotel are lovely. Polite and well informed, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. A continental breakfast is served in your room.'

'The Pine Inn was in a great location in Carmel. Easy to walk to the beach and around the cute downtown. The staff were very friendly. No elevator, so you better be able to do stairs and carry belongings up and down them. Parking was easy. Loved staying at the Pine Inn.'
