'Our stay for 2 nights was heaven. The beds were like sleeping on a marshmallow. Just the right softness and I had no problem sleeping that night. We found everything so clean and inviting. It was a little outdated. The couch was low and so was the chair. I am handicapped and I had to be helped off the couch. It was uncomfortable also. The bathroom needs some sort of heavy glass. 'The concierge, Zack, tops off the stay, and makes guests feel special. It is so important to get good advice for a city and you will be very impressed with the service you receive from Zack, just like you would receive at a fine five star hotel. The property is lovely, the pool can use a little updating, however, our stay was early in the season, so I’m sure improvements were coming. '

'Spaciousness and view the best things. Amenities were VERY limited, and when some yahoo rode by oou patio on some kind of ATV for an unexplainable reason at 8AM the morning after we arrived- that woke us up. 'Popcorn and a movie' the following night was equally disappointing. Yes, the movie played, but no popcorn offered, and the latte machine near that area didn't work. Staff was friendly and as accomodating as they could be, but this place is still a work in progress.'

'This is a very quaint and comfortable little motel. If you like nostalgia, this is the place for you. It is a throwback to the old style motels. The room was clean and the property was well maintained and quiet. Easy to walk to the shops, park and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. The only complaint, if you can call it a complaint, is the pillows are flat. We would definitely return for another stay!'
