'Apartment room was good, needed a little more finesse & finishing but reasonable. There were some niggles such as rusty toilet roll holder, shower door that doesn't properly shut, no shelf in the shower room. The main issue however was the entrance & stairs which were very dirty. '

'There were positives and negatives to this stay. Wasnt expecting the Ritz as the price was very good but we arrived to find a fair amount of sand on the floors - they clearly had not cleaned floors prior to our arrival. It’s very basic which was ok but would have been a little better if there was a lamp in the bedroom and proper curtains to shut out the morning light. It also said toilet roll and towels were included with booking but there was only 1 roll for 3 people for 4 days. Towels looked...

'We loved our stay at this very nice guest house! It was nice and clean with all the comfort you'd expect and want. The musical instruments were definitely a bonus, as one of our sons plays a bit of piano. The view from the living room and the master bedroom is spectacular, especially at sunrise. 'My wife and I had a lovely stay in Crooksland, despite the weather. There were ample opportunities for walks in the Lake district and we also loved visiting Blackpool on a sunny day. The only things we had not really expected were that the cottage is really small and does not have a nice view. You only see the table and chairs in the garden and your car.'
