'The staff is very good. Quick check in. The airport shuttle drivers were so helpful!! The property is outdated and looks a little run down, shower curtain loose from the wall, ugly paint, loose electrical outlets...that sort of thing, but they make up for it with friendliness, helpfulness and it is clean. Ive been staying here for a number of years and that part has been consistent. .'

'The manager John is really nice and takes good care of you. There are plenty of motels in the area, but you just can't beat the price for this one. I've stayed here 3 times since I've been on my camping trip in Alaska and I've always been comfortable. This motel is like a coss between a hostel and an inn. There is no breakfast served, but there is a common kitchen for cooking. Not all the rooms have bathrooms in them, for some if the rooms you have to use the bathrooms in the hall. The beds...

'Goed gelegen, vlak bij maar niet aan Highway, redelijk dicht bij entrance Denali park. Comfortabele kamers, aardige receptie. Jammerlijk ontbijt: bijna alles moest je met en uit plastic en karton eten, voor een hotel van dit niveau en in deze prijsklasse ook in US beneden pijl.'

'Basic motel type accomodation at a price as if it was a luxury hotel. No lounge area. No Breakfast available. Location near Denali is the only reason why the rate is as it is.'

'Ontvangst was prima, vriendelijke man, kamer was opgeruimd maar niet schoon. Bedden met kapotte sprei, lakens van plastic, tv geen afstandsbediening, oud, vervallen, vlekken overal, gehorig en de geur van oud frituurvet. '

'De douche deed het niet maar we konden zogenaamd niet een andere kamer krijgen. Pas na aandringen en dreigen met vertrek bleek er wel een andere kamer te zijn. '

'Loved that is was close to the National Park. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was not modern but it was clean and cozy. '

'I was a shocked when I drove up to the site. The property was nothing like the photographs I viewed when booking. However, the room itself was awesome! The kitchen area wasn't just fully stocked with appliances, utensils, etc. It was WELL stocked. It was nice to eat at an actual table. The bed was the most comfortable I've been in for quite a time and the entire space was exceptionally clean. It was also quiet, even with traffic off the Richardson Highway. I would definitely stay again.'

'De kamer was heel erg ruim en de badkamer was prima. De eigenaren waren heel erg vriendelijk en leuk om een praatje mee te maken. Het hotel ligt midden in het dorpje bij de ingang van Denali National Park, zodat je vroeg op pad kunt. Ook zijn er heel veel restaurants en winkeltjes op loopafstand. Er is een grote RV-camping achter het hotel maar daar heb je geen last van.'

'The staff at Captain's Choice are warm, helpful and welcoming. They helped me figure out my travel plans as they often change due to weather. It's also convenient because they offer rental cars as well. It's an older building, but my bed was very comfortable and I had a terrific view of the water and mountains. The continental breakfast is pretty basic with yogurt, cereal, fruit and frozen waffles/pancakes. '

'We had a great stay. The owner was helpful and full of information and resources. The grounds were lovely and access to the beach was a plus. Everything isn't brand new but everything was very clean and worked. We would come again.'

'When I was looking for a place to stay, I was coming off of a cruise ship so I wanted something close to the cruise terminal and railroad (since I was headed to Anchorage a few days later). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The initial appearance reminded me of the Bates Motel and the patterns in the room didn’t all match (first world problems I know).
