The place is centrally located and has a nice café. The best thing was the staff. Especially Fabricio was extremely helpful and very kind. He helped me with a few requests. Bea also was great and attentive. I hope to return next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Atmosfera amichevole, personale gentilissimo, ottimo sevizio ed attenzione alle richieste del cliente, anche in fase di prenotazione. Pulito, silenzioso, grande cucina a disposizione degli ospiti, letto comodo.

Don't miss out, book this today!
I only stayed here for 1 night but wished I had booked for longer. The staff are super friendly and there's a great atmosphere. The whole place is spotless, it seemed there was so.eone cleaning something wherever I went. The bed was very comfortable, I was provided with a clean towel and there was a clean bath robe on the bed. Gauzy curtains helped provided privacy round my bed without making me feel claustrophobic. I bought food at the cafe and it was delicious. I havant got a bad word to say. Book!

Location is simply 10/10, all major sights in walking distance, bike rental is right on the same street. Very clean facilities, was really pleasant to shower. Totally recommend this hostel. The only thing that can be improved are the pillows. They are super small and uncomfortable. You can fall asleep only after putting a sweater underneath it

Lovely property overall but room (and the relatively high price for it) not as described and therefore not justified. The room was relatively dark, window was accesseable for someone from the street, there was noise due to construction (starting form 10am though) and the paper was coming off the wall in some parts. I have reached out to booking several times, was promised a solution by Monday, the 8th but still haven't heard anything which is very disappointing.

Hello Julia, we are so sorry to hear about all of this. We are also sorry you did not like the room. We can however assure you that no window in any of our rooms doesn't go out on the street side. We also apologize about the noises but we had a little refurbishment going on. We are making all these changes so Ecomama can be even better. Hope to see you another time!

Plutôt bien mais chambres sans fenêtres
Hôtel avec déco sympa, espaces collectifs plutôt cool aussi et personnel accueillant. La litterie est pas mal aussi mais bémol pour les chambres qui n'ont pas de fenêtre. Propreté ok mais sans plus, amenez un cadenas pour éviter de payer les casiers électroniques

Super séjour !
Un peu excentré du centre, j'ai eu la chance d'avoir une chambre avec fenêtre ce qui était un vrai plus, contrairement à d'autres qui ont dû faire avec les odeurs de pièces renfermé. Les salles d'eau était tout à fait convenable et la cuisine un vrai must ! La pièce principale permet à ceux qui en ont besoin de profiter d'un espace de travail et pour les autres de détentes ! Bref dans l'optique de rester sur amsterdam et faire facilement des rencontres je conseils sans hésiter !

Enjoyed my stay here. Staff are lovely, kitchen and lounge area are funky and nice to chill in. Bathrooms kept nice and clean and bedroom was also a good clean space.

BEST PLACE IN AMSTERDAM
IT IS THE BEST HOSTEL IN THE WHOLE OF AMSTERDAM!! I love Cocomama and I know love Ecomama even more the staff are the most fantastic people who will do anything to help you ! All the people who stay seem to be really cool

Cons: Hostel no longer does tours, staff is not 24/7, rooms were not climate controlled, I have tons of bed bug bites from my 2 night stay. Pros: Mattress was comfy and staff are nice.

Lovely place. Cool and kind staff. I definitely recommend this place for your trip in Amsterdam. Ps: the use of a common kitchen was an appreciated surprise.

A new discovery for me and I had a good experience. I was only there for a short time so can only comment on my few hours. The lockers are very small so you can't fit a lot of stuff. I could not find a window to open in my room which made it smell a bit but nothing I couldn't handle. The location is good. There's a metro stop 5-10 min walk and then a 3 min ride to the central station. A 10-15 min walk to China Town, so good location. I would however like female only dorms. Just as an FYI if your a light sleeper. There's communal WC, showers and lockers outside the doors which makes it quite noicy. I would consider this property again.

I'd happily return!
I booked the 8 dorm room, but ended up having it all to myself which was a nice surprise! The bed was comfy, over looking a canal and the room was at a nice temperature. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the hostel had such a nice, relaxing vibe. The chill area was a great place to talk to new people, watch movies and make food. It's pretty close to the tram and metro, even though I ended up walking everywhere. I'd happily return to this cute hostel!

Ótima localização
O local é bacana, e a localização é ótima, tudo muito próximo. Só tome cuidado com os horários, pois a recepção encerra não muito tarde. Eu cheguei era por volta de 23h e não tinha ninguém na recepção, dai um hóspede abriu e tive que dormir nos sofá. Menos o sofá era grande.

Only good thing is the location
It looks cute outside- but shower is bootleg- you have to continually press a button so the water doesn’t shut off mid shower which is very annoying. Also the door to my room wouldn’t shut properly unless you slammed it and even then sometimes it wouldn’t work- I told someone there and they were just so nonchalant about it. I didn’t feel safe to leave anything so I took my stuff with me everyday. I liked the central location but would not stay here again given what it cost.

Bathrooms weren't always spotless, but otherwise the place is very clean and nice. Breakfast was VERY slow and basic (one morning it took 20 minutes for them to get us a bagel and cream cheese), but the hotel is still a great value and a perfect location.
