'Stayed for one night, the bar area was really busy when I arrived at around 1845hrs. Booking in was straightforward and the room was comfortable with an en-suite. The locals in the bar were very welcoming and friendly. I had a full breakfast, which was excellent, the staff were also very friendly. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, the location is an excellent base for touring the area, and the price of rooms are good value. '

'Beautiful house and gardens although when we were there it rained a lot so didn't get chance to use the garden. Really friendly hosts nothing was too much trouble and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. EV charging is not a problem either. All in all, perfect hosts and a perfect weekend break.'

'What a venue! I'd always heard about Close House as a great location for golf, but never really thought of it as a place to stay. Its small enough to be personal and intimate. Not a huge venue that can feel overwhelming. Credit to all the staff, polite, welcoming, and always served with a smile.'

'Amazing locations and great hotel. Generally clean and well maintained throughout. In the room, pillows were flat (they were huge and the filling didn't stay put) and the room a bit too warm. Restaurant staff not particularly attentive. Breakfast was good.'

Fijn hotel, met prima kamer en goed ontbijt.
"Prima hotel, op doorreis of als uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes in de omgeving. Kamer, badkamer en bedden waren goed. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, met vers fruit (aardbeiden, frambozen, blauwe bessen), yoghurt en ruime keuze in Engelse ontbijt-varianten met ei, bacon etc. Ook het avondeten was er prima. Vlak naast het hotel zijn er Tesla oplaadpunten, die ook door niet-Tesla's gebruikt kunnen worden, en die met hoge snelheid kunnen laden. Handig!"
