'Wonderful property in a beautiful quiet setting very close to the city. The hosts graciously welcomed us and supplied coffee, milk and breakfast items for the morning. The property is spacious, bright clean and very well equipped. Highly recommended.'

'One of the messages from the property didn't come through, the one that gave decent directions. Several places en route looked like they were the property. It took a while, but we eventually found it. Apparently there's a kitchen on site, but we only found one in the hostel across the street? Had a hard time finding the switch to turn on the hot water, I tried messaging the property, but it was late and I never got a response. The switch was pretty big by the showers, I probably missed it since...

'Beautiful property. Sheep, fruit, and vegetable farms all around. Staff super nice. Had the ability to grill our own food and have a fire to sit around and enjoy the beautiful weather we had way into the night. Grocery store and restaurants nearby. Play area for the kids. This is by far our favorite place so far on our two week trip around the UK. '

'We stayed at The Old Police House for a week (the first week of February) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was fully equipped, from towels to salt and pepper, everything was there. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Sue, the owner, has truly thought of everything, even diapers for the little ones were provided. Toys, dog towels, food bowls for the dog, everything was available. The house is warm (both literally and figuratively), cozy, and the location is beautiful and...

'The total cosy atmosphere and friendliness of staff made you feel at home. Great location, great room and the ghost/history tour was fun. The only negative was the entrance to the castle (no signage and bad road deck) and untidy around the castle. But we highly recommend a stay at the castle.'

'Het hotel is nog gedeeltelijk in aanbouw, maar ook dan kan het beter. De kamer was klein, wel met een hoog plafond (ter compensatie?), het bed zakte diep in en piepte. Ook waren de veren te voelen. Naast het hotel is een soort van disco, waar tot laat gebonk vandaan kwam, ik was er dan ook op een zaterdagavond. Gek genoeg heb ik wel lekker geslapen.. De douche en wc moesten gedeeld worden, in de eetzaal voor het ontbijt waren te weinig stoelen. Het broodrooster werkte maar voor de helft. De dame...
