'Beautiful old farm house, great location.'

'Our family came from different places and stayed together here at the cottage for a wedding. There was plenty of room and four bathrooms was wonderful. The home had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Buchanan, Virginia! We spent time sitting on the outside porches listening to the sound of the brook.'

'My mother and sisters stayed at Hidden Valley Farm for the Mother's Day weekend. We loved every moment of our stay. The Hosts were awesome! The cottage was beautiful and very accommodating for our stay! We used every space available in the cottage and outside. It was such a peaceful and restful place. We were close to many activities - the area is rich in history. Lastly, the animals on the farm were awesome and we enjoyed watching and visiting them all! We hope to stay here again in the future!'

'From the moment we arrived at the property and identified ourselves as the family staying at Elmo's rest, we were treated like part of the family. We arrived at the house to find everything clean and ready even though we were a couple hours early. The house is a century old so floors creak and some doors stick a bit. 'Prachtige locatie helemaal alleen in de weidse natuur met dieren (kat, ezel, paard en heel veel bijzondere vogels en vlinders. Mooi meertje om te zwemmen of varen/roeien. We hebben genoten van de wandelingen direct vanaf het huisje naar Spy Rock en met een paar minuten rijden naar Crabtree Falls. Goed ingericht huisje, maar kleine (wijn)glazen zouden handig zijn, en eventueel ook gordijnen als je langer wil slapen dan zonsopkomst. '

'We needed a place for family to gather while coming and going from Lynchburg and Liberty University. The size of the home and the setting were great! We had plenty of elbow room and loved seeing the goats and donkey and a wonderful walk through the orchard. The drive into Lynchburg was easier than expected, but this location is definitely off the beaten path and meant once you get back to the house you stay. The bathroom needs some TLC and upkeep. 'This house was everything we could have asked for and more. The location was amazing. It was secluded at the foot of the mountains, which made for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful. It was also centrally located to area attractions, such as, natural bridge, VA safari park, Lynchburg, and the natural bridge caverns. 'We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out.'

'This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!'
